GIVEAWAY: VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor

Vtech monitor

Congrats to our winner –

Veronica B. – Entry #362

We had so much fun with the 6th Annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Extravaganza, that we couldn’t just quit giving things away for the holiday season cold turkey. This is something you have to ease out of. It is a giveaway detox period, if you will. Sure, we still have the fabulous BabyBjorn One Carrier and Kindle Fire HDX Giveaway happening this week, but we thought we needed one more before Christmas.

That is why we’ve added one more giveaway this week. This is a one-week giveaway that starts now and ends next Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 11:59pm EST.

One lucky winner will receive the new and improved VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor! You want to know all about what you could win, right?!?

Just watch our video review below and then enter at the bottom of the page with the Rafflecopter widget.

How to Enter

What’s up for grabs:

(1) VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor

HOW TO ENTER: Rafflecopter is back for this one but Facebook has changed the game! Now, we can use Facebook “likes” as an entry method. So, you know what?!? It is going to be MANDATORY to “like” the giveaway post on Facebook to enter. (NOTE: You always have the option to just leave a comment on the blog for that entry and do nothing else. This is for those who don’t do Facebook.)

Yep, our giveaway celebration = our rules! (The Facebook giveaway post you need to “LIKE” will be pinned to the top of our wall on Monday and the link will be in the Rafflecopter widget after that.)  Make sure you do this because we check. If you are chosen the winner and you didn’t “like” it on Facebook – you are not the winner.)

Here’s the thing: A Facebook “like” AND a blog comment are the only mandatory entries! Once you do those two entry methods, it will open up all the other “optional” entry methods. Baby Gizmo friends don’t just stick with “mandatory” though, right? We are overachievers! So, there are additional (optional) entries you can get.  But let us warn you – make sure you actually do the entries! If you click on “leave a blog comment” on the Rafflecopter widget – make sure you actually leave a blog comment. We check! If you don’t do the actual entry – it doesn’t count! You won’t win. We’ll both be sad.

  1. Heidi Brown says

I really need one of these! We are adopting a special needs toddler, and just haven’t been able to swing the cost of this just yet. This would help out lots!

  2. Ashley Cain says

The night vision would be great! I worry about my special needs son during the night, this would give me piece of mind!

  3. says

Definitely need one! We’ve gone through three baby monitors in three years. So expensive, and so disappointed with the brands we’ve had. Each wasn’t cheap either and were at least $300 each. :(

  4. Jessica Z says

So many great features, the one I love the most is the Automated infrared night vision! That will come in handy for sure!

  5. Erik a. Kozuszek sr. says

This is the one item my wife and I never got for our baby shower. I would love to surprise her with this to help take off the stress she experiences while the baby is in his crib!

  6. Lindsay says

I love that there’s automated infared night vision :) Would be great to see the baby instead of just hearing!

  7. Alena Wood says

There are so many awesome features. I love the temperature sensor & the vibrating sound alert for the parent monitor.

  8. Kate says

I love that it is silent unless there is noise on the baby’s end. Also, the temperature sensor is nice to have!

  9. Jessica Rodriguez says

After all the news reports on creepers tapping into baby monitors I’m going to have to go with the data encryption.

  10. Lindsey H says

I love the temperature sensor since our nursery gets pretty cold and the infrared night vision.

  11. Andrea S says

SO many great features, but I’m told I will really appreciate the “AC adapters included for the baby and parent unit”, so we don’t blow thru batteries on a regular basis!

  12. Elisha says

I love the new updated version of this. We have the one before this one and love it. It’s starting to fall apart do to normal everyday and night use. Love that it can move more.

  13. Veronica says

I love the color screen! I have the old old camera monitor and it’s weird night vision but not color! Cool!

  14. Julie M. says

Lots of great features, but my favorite would have to be the night vision. How convenient for the parent! And definitely a good feature to put a parent’s mind at ease when they are half asleep. I also can’t help but note the incredible price! We have been researching video monitors and some of them can get pretty pricey–this seems like an incredible monitor with all the bells and whistles without breaking the bank. Thanks for a great video review!

  15. Hedva Jigba says

Would definitely need a monitor when we move at the end of the month to a bigger place! Baby Millie has lots of stuff!

  16. Stephanie D says

I love love love the fact that it has Data encryption for security, I always worry someone is going to watch my little one.

  17. yz says

I love the talk back feature for when you have toddlers – and that it can zoom and swivel a bit – so they really know you are watching them (like eyes on the back of your head)

  18. Bethany Adams says

I love the pan, tilt, and zoom. We have a Motorola one that barely works, so I would LOVE to win this.

  19. Robin says

I love the temperature & talk back features! This would make me feel like I’m right there in the room with my little one.

  20. Amanda T says

Love video monitors because they save extra trips to baby’s room. But a 1000 foot range?! Wow! That’s unheard of! I think that is my most favorite feature of this monitor.

  21. Morgan C says

I love that you can see what is going on with your baby. There is no guessing and as they get older you can let them safely explore their environment without them knowing.

  22. Farron says

I need of one since I have a two story house. Makes it easier than going up and down stairs. Love the temp feature also!

  23. elizabeth says

What a great monitor! I love that it gives the temperature in the baby’s room. I always worry that my children are too cold or warm.

  24. Komal Ram says

i love to win this since most of the time i will be alone with the baby and i love how you can talk to your baby from far away

  25. Autumn Terrell says

There’s quite a few features that the vtech baby monitor has that I read/heard about that I really like. But I would have to say my two favorite ones would be the talk back and the pan and tilt. The talk back allows you to let my baby know I’m on my way, hearing my voice may calm him down. The pan and tilt is awesome because you can move almost all around the room with just a touch of a button.

  26. Diana Cote says

Data encryption for security is def my favorite! I worry about stuff like this, so that would give me a huge piece of mind. :)

  27. Jessica Cromwell says

I love that its 270 degrees side to side! and 1000′ range is also amazing! I would love this for the baby i have on the way!

  28. Mary Mudd says

Most importantly, I LOVE that it can scan the room!!! The full motion video, is awesome! The temperature sensor is pretty cool. And night vision is also amazing. This is a really nice baby monitor. One of the best you can buy!!

  29. Amelia Jarvis says

I love that there’s automated infrared night vision :) Would be great to see the baby instead of just hearing!

  30. Karen Pafe Akpan says

I love how high tech it id and that I can scan the room. So I can monitor everything going on :)

  31. Danielle Caprioli says

A new monitor for our new arrival would be awesome ! Our old monitor gave out before our tot even turned one

  32. Rachel Davis says

I have two favorite features… The pan, tilt, and zoom, and the 1000′ range. This sounds like an awesome monitor! I would love to be able to have one with a camera.

  33. Rachel R says

Oh my gosh, I want this!!! I love everything about it, but what I love most of all is that you can connect up to four cameras. I currently have three – yes THREE – monitors right now (and yes, every one of them is in use – I have three kids three and under). One of my monitors works well, but for the other two the parent units have to be plugged into the wall at all times, which really limits what I can do around the house, and requires a lot of plugging and unplugging if I want to move the parent units. Winning this monitor would be an awesome Christmas present!!!

  34. Angela B says

I love the pan, tilt and zoom feature. I have my toddler and infant sharing a room. It would be amazing to be able to check both kids with 1 monitor

  35. Carrie Benson ManyHeads says

Need to move my baby from our room into her own, this would make the transition so much easier!

  36. nicole v-p says

I love that I would be able to watch more areas as my toddler and infant will share a room, when new baby gets a little bigger, he will be in our room the first 3 months.

  37. Leslie W says

My favorite feature is the Data encryption for security, being an IT mom this is incredibly important!

  38. Amanda h says

I love being able to see the baby wherever you are- i am a serious worrier ill check to make sure my sons breathing multiple times when hes laying right next to me lol

  39. Nicole Acuna says

The temp sensor is just awesome, perfect for my little one. Thanks so much for giving us the chance and happy holidays!

  40. Christina Curtin says

The Zoom feature! we just use a webcam now but it doesn’t zoom. Would love this for the new baby.

  41. evelyn bakic says

I really need cameras all over the place! !!! I have one in the room but I need one in their play area while I cook. Fingers crossed!!!

  42. Tycee Behrmann says

This is awesome! For my first I had an old school monitor. I love the “Talk-back” feature on this monitor! And the temperature sensor!

  43. Irina Tkachuk says

Pan and Tilt!!! Really cool and need that so I don’t have to go to room and adjust it constantly. & Temperature control is very needed :)

  44. Jennifer Michelle Ora Kreisler says

I LOOOOOOVE that this VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor! The Pan feature is simply drool worthy! I have so many facets to love here– multiple camera…. talk back, volume control, the chunky parent unnit (I like that) the crisp picture, night vision! Wow! But YES! the PAN feature wins as my ultimate fav! I’ll definately be buying a couple extra cameras to go with it if I get to win! One for the older boy’s room and one for the play room! YES!

  45. Kelly Lorandos says

Love how I can use multiple cameras for the one monitor and how it shows the temp in each room

  46. Renee Smith says

My favorite feature is the screen! Monitors have come a long way since my first baby 22 years ago. I’d love to be able to SEE my baby girl while I’m downstairs doing my thing.

  47. Anna says

The temperature sensor is a pretty great feature! We need a monitor for baby #3 and this one looks awesome!

  48. Aisha Winbush says

Data encryption for security because i’ve seen incidents on the news of baby video monitors being hacked, so the security is amazing on this device!

  49. Joanna says

The features that I like about the VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor is the 1,000′ of range,•High resolution 2.8″ color LCD display,•Full motion video: 22 frames per second and the •Automated infrared night vision

  50. Becca Lee says

A video monitor at all is my favorite feature! Ive only ever used audio monitors. The futute is now! ;)

  51. Margaret Mayhugh says

Definitely love the night vision! Also the temperature sensor, my house is 135 years old and the heating system is a bit quirky…

  52. Lynette says

Night vision! Now that we have the toddler and infant in the same room, I’d love to see what is happening sometimes!

  53. Katherine says

I’ve been searching for a video monitor for a month now and haven’t settled on one. I didn’t know that vetch had one! I love their products, and this pan and tilt camera would be perfect for us! I love the temp feature too! Pick me! :)

  57. Sandra Crispo says

Out of range indicator and High-sensitivity microphone and Rechargeable battery with low-battery alert on the parent unit!!

  58. Lisa Noworyta says

I would love to win this. It would mean not worrying about my baby during naps and at bedtime. Also my son would take longer naps at his nana’s house as they often wake him up too early when opening the door to check in on him. Fingers crossed :)

  59. Lori Gaston says

I love the sound-alert feature on the parent unit. And the fact that you can sinc up to 4 monitors to the parent unit!

  60. Michael Crispo says

Out of range indicator and High-sensitivity microphone and Rechargeable battery with low-battery alert on the parent unit are great features!!

  61. Anthony Crispo says

Digital transmission, Automated infrared night vision, 5-level sound indicator, AC adapters included for the baby and parent unit, are all great features!!

  62. Amanda Bontrager says

I don’t want this for me. I want it for a friend whose son has MLD and needs constant monitoring.

  63. joanna garcia says

love that the camera pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side and tilts as many as 124 degrees up and down. The camera can also zoom up to two times.

  66. Katy says

Night vision, we set up our older video camera to capture our 12 month old, and we found out she doesn’t go to sleep until 30 mins to an hour after putting her down. So now we are so curious to find out when she is waking, how long. This really does affect her during the day.

  67. Teuta says

I love that this is a video monitor. It seems so simple but my video one broke with my first child so we went with audio monitor and what a difference!! I would love to have a video monitor for the little one we are soon expecting.

  68. Thabal says

I really like the data encryption part of this monitor. Any electronics transmitting data are hacked, so this is a nice feature. Would love to read more about how they are doing it.

  69. Danielle Cordeau says

The night vision for sure. I always leave a light on so I can see my baby this would be neat.

  70. Leah B says

I think it’s really neat that it has a temperature sensor – I’ve never heard of that on a monitor before.

  71. callie b. says

i am expecting my first baby this spring and would love this! i love the temperature feature as well as the automated infrared night vision feature! sounds so comforting for a new momma!
