Foodie Family Dining Room Wall Art Gallery

Sharing is caring!

We are definitely a foodie family. Before kids, my husband and I loved trying new restaurants anywhere we traveled. We amassed photos and memories from Amsterdam to Burbank to Cape Town. Now that we have three little ones under 3, our culinary adventures have slowed, but that’s no reason why we can reminisce and prominently display our love for adventurous eating.

When we moved into our new rental home, I played with the idea of curating a culinary gallery wall in our dining room, one we could add to as we added to our adventures over the years, including the kids as they tried new tastes in new places.

Even better yet, all of the supplies and prints can be picked up at your local Wal-mart, making this inexpensive, quick and easy!

Here’s what I came up with: Dining Room Wall Art for Foodie Families!

First, I went to Wal-mart and picked up some frames. They had several sizes that worked really well for what I was envisioning. I ended up selecting the 13” x 13” frame matted for a 5” x 7” photo, and picked up four of those.

I also purchased a 16 x 20 poster frame and 16 x 20 white matte for an 11 x 17 photo or print.

Next, I made my way to the hardware department. I found some small screw eyes, and to the craft department where I found a spool of twisted craft wire and mini wooden clothes pins.

Lastly, I picked up my photos at the Wal-mart photo center. I had selected a number of photos of us eating on different vacations and the signs of a variety of restaurants that were special to us, along with some sweet memories with my son. I also developed a funny picture of me eating and another funny one of my son. I was able to find two pictures of my son where he looked like each of us, so I could put together a collection of frames with funny pictures, like father like son. The largest print was an 11 x 14 of a print I found online.

Once I had all the items purchased, I just had to come home and put it all up! I get so many compliments on this wall gallery, and it’s so easy to switch out and add pictures as we add memories. It’s really easy to personalize as well with your favorite quote or foodie photos.
