| Full Review: Chicco's Lullaby Playard has all the features that a great playard should have. It's a sturdy playard that has a bassinet, an elevated changing table, playmat, toy bar, music, vibration and a nightlight. Lullaby is relatively easy to set up and take down for travel. Playards today come with many added and welcome features such as the bassinets that add extra time to set up and take down. Don't expect to get a playard with all the bells and whistles that you can set up in 2 minutes. We love that all the features on this playard fit into its nylon cargo bag (about the size of a small golf club bag) for convenient travel. One feature that makes this product stand out is that the wheels are exposed when it's packed up to travel which makes moving this playard easy by wheeling it around. Playards have to be sturdy and that adds to the weight, which can cause it to be quite heavy to carry any amount of distance for a mom. That's why we love that the wheels make traveling with this playard a dream! Another feature that we love: is the changing table that flips away when not in use. We even noticed that the changing table is padded for baby's comfort. They call it an elevated changing table that makes changing baby a breeze and easy on your back because you don't have to lean over. We found that it's not quite as elevated as the Graco's new changing tables, but it's a perfect height for the average size woman at 5'5. Having this sturdy changing table stay attached to the playard and swing down to the side for storage is brilliant. With some other playards, you have to store the changing table somewhere when not in use, which can be a pain. Remember a changing table should not be in place when a child is in either the playard or the bassinet. Chicco has upgraded the normal mattress that usually comes with playards by providing a thickly padded, quilted mattress that is comfortable for naptime or playtime. It is by far the nicest mattress of all the playards. The mattress covering is removable for easy machine washing. The sturdy, quilted bassinet is easy to set up and great for newborns. Unlike some other bassinets, this one is the same size as the playard to accommodate different size babies. The bassinet does not come with a canopy but we think more often than not you will not use the canopy anyway. A toy gym with 5 plush hanging toys can be used with the bassinet or the mattress only as a playmat. Having a playmat with toy gym option with the playard is great when traveling to cut down on the amount of toys that needs to be brought. Lullabye also comes with an electronic component that features music, vibration, nightlight and comes with a handy remote. Overall, this sturdy playard looks great, and has all the new features such as a bassinet, playgym, flip-away changing table and electronics that makes this a top pick for us! | ||
