Pumpkin Protein Shake

Sharing is caring!

Being a nursing mama, I’m always looking for new ways to add extra protein into my diet. With the Fall season upon us I was inspired to play around with pumpkin as a new smoothie ingredient. Not only is this recipe fast – toss in a blender and go – it’s super delicious and packed full of protein. But watch out, looming toddlers might turn their sample sip into a “Please, make me my own big one, mama!”

Pumpkin Protein Shake

Pumpkin Protein Shake

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin pie mix
  • 1/3 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (or other sweetener)
  • 8 ice cubes

Place all ingredients into a blender and pulse until desired consistency is reached. Enjoy your protein-infused shake (a whopping 15 grams) while watching the leaves fall!

P.S. Fall is by far my favorite season! My birthday is in October and pumpkin has always been one of my favorite flavors. Do you have a pumpkin recipe you make year after year? If so, I’d love to give it a try … leave me a link, ladies!
