Safe Baby Sleep with the Halo Bassinest & SwaddleSure

Sharing is caring!

Having a baby is a wonderful and exciting time in your life, but there are things that you may worry about. Like where will the baby sleep? How will I tend to the baby in the middle of the night when I’m recovering from giving birth?

When I had my three kids, all my babies slept right next to my bed within arms reach for the first few months so that I could see and hear them, we could bond, and I could get to them easily. Just to be safe, I didn’t have them in my bed but next to my bed in a bassinet.

But how close can I get to my baby when they are in a bassinet next to the bed, you may ask?

Well, closer than you think thanks to the Halo Bassinest!

Halo Bassinest

This is one of those products that I wish had been thought of sooner so that I could have used it with all my babies. Yes, it is THAT great!

The Halo Bassinest is the only baby bassinet that rotates a full 360 degrees to bring baby to you for close, safe sleep. You see, the more it moves, the less you’ll have to – so taking care of baby just got a whole lot easier.

This is the only bassinet that moves into the bed next to you so baby is as close as you wish but still in their own safe, sleeping environment. The Bassinest is also height adjustable to accommodate beds of differing heights. It adjusts from 22″-34″ and easily tucks under the bed only requiring 32″ of floor space.

There are so many reasons that I love the Bassinest especially as a 3-time c-section mom.

First, it’s a great safe alternative to bed sharing. The baby is right next to mom (you could basically sleep almost nose to nose with them!) yet safely in their own enclosed environment.

Second, it moves 360 degrees for easy in and out so you don’t have to do the new mom scoot down the bed to get out, which is not only particularly brilliant for moms recovering from a c-section, but great for all moms recovering from birth.

Third, the retractable wall allows you to easily get to baby with little effort and the mesh surround is not only great for breathability but you can keep an eye on baby and just gaze at that new bundle of joy all night long.

Baby Bassinet

With baby this close and accessible, there is no need to get out of bed, which makes it perfect for new moms!

Plus, with the new Luxe edition, you get extra special features such as a soothing center with a night light, white noise, lullabies, a nursing timer and 2 speeds of vibration.

If that isn’t enough, the Luxe version has a storage caddy to hold all baby’s essentials, two pockets AND a floor light to light up the area when mom gets out of bed.

With all these great features, what’s not to love about the Halo Bassinest? I love it so much that I recommend it as a baby registry must-have for all new parents.

The Halo Bassinest Luxe series is for babies up to 20 lbs and 5 months (or until the baby starts to roll over or pull up) and retails for $279.99. It is available at buybuybaby.com.

You also might be wondering what that adorable swaddle is that our newborn model is wearing? That is the new Halo SwaddleSure Adjustable Swaddling Pouch that is used over baby’s sleepwear in place of loose blankets. It is another product that I recommend for safe sleeping and it makes swaddling super easy.

The SwaddleSure has a three-point fastening system to prevent Houdini babies from escaping and takes the guesswork out of how to do a swaddle. It has a roomy pouch design that ensures healthy hip development and easy diaper access so you don’t have to unswaddle to change baby. There are two sizes of the SwaddleSure: “newborn” to fit 6-12 lbs, and “small” to fit 13-16 lbs.

Love the halo wrap with the easy diaper change option. Current wraps need to unwrap baby and unzip baby before changing.
