You know how much we love American Girl, right? Well, let me clarify…how much my 10 year old daughter loves American Girl! Well, we are super excited to be participating in their Truly Me Campaign that starts today.
With the #TrulyMe campaign, American Girl is inviting moms to help empower girls to express themselves and embrace what’s great about being uniquely you by sharing a photo of their girls with us on social media using our #TrulyMe hashtag.
The American Girl #TrulyMe campaign is kicking off today with our very own Junior Gizmo gal – Savannah! She is super excited to be featured on the American Girl social communities and on their website today as she help encourage other girls to express what makes them unique!
We’d love for you to help us spread the word, sharing your photo using the #TrulyMe hashtag on social media! Or you can submit your photo to the American Girl Fan Gallery!
This campaign is designed around the American Girl Truly Me dolls! Sure, we all know that there is a special American Girl of the Year each year and there are fantastic historical American Girl dolls introduced to the collection from time to time, but did you know that there is a line of AG dolls that girls can choose from that can resemble them? Sure, one of the recent historical girl dolls (Caroline) resembled my daughter but most girls aren’t so lucky. Most girls wish for a doll that looks like them and this is their chance!
The Truly Me line allows girls to choose their doll from 40 different combinations of eye color, hair color and style, and skin color. Plus, each Truly Me doll will now come with exclusive play-based content directly in the doll box (48+ ideas for girls to do with their dolls) as well as a new, free digital play experience online that will accessible to all girls on all devices.
Our Junior Gizmo gal received a Truly Me doll that she picked out and she couldn’t wait to show it to you in today’s Baby Gizmo video!
