Baby Gizmo Spotlight Video Review: Joovy Roo

Joovy Roo

Joovy Roo

Frame strollers are very popular with new parents and Joovy is entering the game with their new Roo stroller. Well, as a matter of fact, Joovy is changing the frame stroller game with their unique side mount feature and lower parent console.

JoovyRoo_2The Roo is a lightweight stroller frame (16.2 lbs) that accommodates an infant car seat but instead of having the car seat parent-face, it faces to the side. Why, you ask? Have you ever sat down at the park or at a restaurant next to your parent-facing baby in the stroller? You try to interact with or feed the baby but the handlebar and parent console are usually in the way, right? Not with the Roo. You can pull the Roo up right next to you and have close, uninterrupted connection with your baby. Love that!

A solid, sturdy frame is at the top of my list when looking at a frame stroller. It will be transporting my most precious cargo after all. The Joovy has given us just that with the Roo’s wide, stable frame. The Roo also features a huge basket underneath for all your baby essentials and a taller handle at 40″ from ground to where you place your hands.

One of my favorite features of the Roo is the parent console. Joovy has taken the console off the handle and conveniently placed it lower than the infant car seat so in case of an accidental spill, I won’t splash Frappuccino all over my baby. They also didn’t just give us one cup holder in the console but FOUR. That’s right, plenty of room for baby bottles, a sippy cup for the toddler and a drink for me. Woot! Woot!

If that isn’t enough, the Roo is easy to fold and can fit in any vehicle trunk. Only thing I would change is that I would add a auto lock instead of the manual lock that the Roo sports. The Roo is available now and retails for $99.
