Baby Gizmo Spotlight Video Review: Nuna Leaf (+GIVEAWAY)

Nuna Leaf

Congrats to our winner –

Entry #2576 – Kriste Y.

We are really excited about the new company Nuna and what they have brought to the US. While this popular Dutch company is known worldwide, they are new to us this year and they are making a splash with some really unique baby products.

The Nuna Leaf is a child seat that was inspired by the carefree float of a leaf on a breeze. The distinctive design, unique features and grow-with-your-child capabilities is going to make this a very popular chair.

We all know a bouncer bounces and a rocker rocks but what we love about the Leaf is that it sways. That’s right this baby lounger peacefully sways from side to side to calm your baby or lull her to sleep. What’s better yet is it is motor-free. No loud motor or clicking or buzzing or vibrating – just peaceful swaying. Seriously, I think I need an adult-size Leaf in my office right about now.

This revolutionary chair starts out as a gentle swaying infant seat for your newborn but with a whopping 130 lb weight limit, it will definitely grow with your child. We know, we know, we couldn’t believe it either. It may not look like it can hold 130 lbs from afar but believe me, it can! This is one sturdy chair! Unlike a bouncy seat that you banish to the basement around 6-7 months, the Leaf will remain a fixture in your home much longer. Our 3 1/2 year old tester loves hanging out in the chair with a book (or ipad – who are we kidding!) and even the 6 and 8 year old can relax in it.

The seat features a mesh back for breathability and airflow and the organic cotton insert is removable and washable. The seat has two settings that are easily changed by the click of a lever – swaying and stationary.

The Leaf comes in three colors – bisque, navy and twilight – and retails for $219. Yes, while that sounds expensive, think of how much longer than the Leaf will be used rather than a 4-5 month bouncy chair.

  1. I’m having a new little baby join our family any day now and this would be an awesome thing to have instead of the big bulky swing… plus I have a 19 month old who also will be able to enjoy it and not have to be told “no” as he messes with the baby things.

  2. We are going to be trying for baby #2 soon and I think this would be awesome to have. It would work for my daughter and the new baby.

  3. Don’t know if my 1st comment worked, but my 3 month old is almost too heavy for her swing to get enough momentum but she loves to sway. This is the perfect answer!

  4. I’d love this for my nearly 17lb 3 month old. Her swing is having a hard time getting her up to speed at that weight but she loves to sway.

  5. Wow! That is an amazing weight limit! I would love to have this chair for my baby girl’s room for her to have a place to relax and read her many books!!

  6. Well we all know how 16 month olds do not sit still, well with this and a book or ipad, maybe this mommy can have some sanity and Sophia will sit down for more than 3 seconds 😉 thats why I would love to win haha

  7. I would like to win the leaf because it is awesome. I would love a seat that my growing baby can continue to use for a long time. It is very uniquely designed and is appeasing to the eye. I want one so badly!

  8. What a great baby seat that will actually last for a lot longer than a few months! I would love to have this to use with our babies.

  9. Love the fact that it actually last longer than 6 months. I hate to spend so much on “baby” items when they have such a short usage time per child.

  10. I love this bouncer. looks so comfortable good job! I’ll also leave a comment on the youtube video. would love to win this product!

  11. My husband and I have been looking at the leaf ever since we found out we were pregnant. When I thought you could only buy it “across the pond”, I was ready to get together with another pregnant couple we knew and buy one of everything they offered in hopes that they would be willing to ship over here. I am so excited to get my hands on one for when the little one arrives.

  12. I would love to win this because I love how it sways and is super quiet and could really use it for our baby who is on the way

  13. The swaying is genius! I love that your babe doesnt outgrow it right away!(saying this as we pack away our bouncer that babe has outgrown!)

  14. My daughter would love this! She never liked her Mamaroo swing and is only interested in it now, when she’s too big for it. So this would be perfect with the high weight limit. Great givaway!

  15. I can sit in it too! My daughters would wear it out with their sitting in it and reading, and I think that’s amazing. I’d love one!

  16. I would love to win a NUNA LEAF for my special baby ,she has severe reflux and has a feeding tube ,she loves swing but has gained a lot of weight and none of them work for her this will be perfect for her 🙂

  17. I’d love to win the Leaf. The moment I saw it, I was not only drawn to the fact that it is Eco, I love love love the minimal but cute design, & the fact that it sways. I think my little guy would love it!

  18. I would love to win for my baby due in May. We tried the Mamaroo and our first did not like it. This seems much more comfy, and I love how you can use it past the newborn stage!!!

  19. I would love to win, because my daughter watched the review with me and she said “oooo”, that’s about all she can say, and I have yet to find a bouncer or seat that she actually wants to sit in!

  20. I would love to have the Leaf because my 3 month old could use it and my 2 1/2 year old (and 7 year old!) could sit in it without me having to worry about it getting broken. He’s constantly trying to sit in our other baby gear and I’m sure it’s not all going to survive.

  21. The design of this product is what initially grabbed my attention and I’m impressed with the fact that it can continue to be useful past the first few months!

  22. I would love to win this Nuna Leaf for my LO because now that the Nap Nanny was recalled he doesnt have a lounger to watch Sunday Football with daddy 🙂

  23. This would be an awesome addition to our new daughter! I have yet to be able to find the perfect seat for our little one to like. The weight limit is amazing! Can’t wait!

  24. I’m having my second child in 10 weeks and am currently looking for a new infant seat/bouncer. The one from my first child broke in storage 🙁

  25. I would love to win the Leaf because it is unlike any other bouncer of seat for infants. I love that is can be used for years to come and the simplicity of its design. Anything with out needing batteries or power to work is an added plus!

  26. I would love to win this for my son who is due in two weeks! Imagine the YEARS we’d get out of this thing (and no money wasted on electricity bills or batteries!)

  27. I would love to win the Leaf because for one, it is a pretty cool piece of equipment. Hands down! For two, we need every piece of free baby gear we can get our hands on. We gave away/sold all of our baby gear items and clothes as well as our crib thinking that we were not having any more children. Low and behold, we are now expecting our third boy in June. With the new taxes and needing to find a new place to live (a 2 bedroom condo will not work for 5 people), we can’t afford to buy anything for this baby. So, this would give us a huge jumpstart on at least getting something for this poor kid to have!

  28. My nephew and his girlfriend are expecting his first baby in a couple weeks. They don’t have anything for the baby yet and could use this!

  29. I would love to win a Leaf because I would like it to put my newborn in it to sleep during nap time. I like how its motor free.

  30. I want to win the nuna leaf for my son I can really use it and I ni he ll love it very much and I live that it switch levels fron months old to three years old

  31. 130 lbs???I could sit in it~~ well almost….anyways i like that it has no batteries etc….sometimes simple is best…get tired of replacing batteries in everything all the time

  32. I would love to win this for either my niece who’s due in March or my nephew who is due in April! They would love it I know it.

  33. I would love to win this! I have a new baby coming this summer and would love to have a place for her to sit that my 13 month old and 5 year old could also use without breaking.

  34. I would love to win the nuna leaf. It is so versatile. I have 2 boys one whos 2 and one whos 5 months. It would be perfect for both.

  35. I was looking for the perfect chair for our new reading spot, and this is it! Plus with a new baby on the weigh, both my toddler and the baby can share it, due to the weight limit! Cool design too!

  36. I love how uber-modern it looks and love that I could use it for so long for my new baby. I would like to win it as I desperately need something for my baby to sit in.

  37. With a new baby arriving in March and a 2 1/2 year old this seat looks like the perfect item for a mommy that has her hands full!!!

  38. I would love to win because I am about to have a baby (due date is in 4 days) and I am sure we would get a lot of good use out of it.

  39. The 130lb weight limit is amazing! My toddler would love to sit in this and read, nap and eat! lol I’d never be able to get her out..

  40. I love the high weight capacity and the overall look of the leaf, so cute, my son would love it and so would baby number two!!

  41. I would love to win this! We are hoping to have another baby soon and are needing a good swing! This one liiks so comfy and doesnt have the overboard baby print fabric!

  42. I would love to win the leaf because I love the fact it can accommodate up to 130 pounds! My boy can have this for a long time!

  43. I love that it could hold up to 130lbs! That means my little guy could use it for a very long time….or I could even use it lol

  44. I would love to win the leaf because we are licensed foster parents to infants 0-12 months. This would be a blessing in our home! It looks so comfy too!!

  45. Hoping to win this awesome Leaf! Saw this in action at the Biggest Baby Shower hosted by Big City Moms and fell in looooove!!

  46. I have a little one due soon and I like the idea of a seat that will grow with them. I loved the bouncer we had for our son but quickly gave that to another really little baby when he was done with it before 6 months.

  47. I love this seat. I love that it has a natural mom like swing, and the fact that it can hold 130 pounds. My toddler would love this seat, and it would be great for any future babies.

  48. I love the 130 wt capacity! My husband and I are larger and I have a feeling our little one will grow quickly. This would be nice to grow with him.

  49. I would love this Leaf! I’m not crazy about swings that scream BABY! This does not have all the bells and whistles that parents think their baby needs. This is such a peaceful, natural swing. Very Zen like. Think about it, your baby is so content just rocking in your arms. This is just what this swing does. It can be used for years too! It definitely got my attention! First baby due August 4!

  50. I would love to win the Nuna leaf because I have a very picky toddler who still nap in her swing (wich she outgrew). but no matter what I do she won’t take a nap except in it. and I have a newborn that will benifit from it and the swing 🙂

  51. Love the seat! I could sit in it with my baby in my arms and we would be under the weight limit… Awesome! 🙂 would love to win this!!!

  52. I love the sleek look of this swing! It’s amazing that it holds up to 130lbs. Would love to introduce baby #2 to this cool apparatus!

  53. Looks awesome for babies that enjoy the other chairs but have grown out of them. My little one gets the regular bouncer moving, I bet he’d love this.

  54. We are due August 1st. We saw this product reviewed by the Baby Guy NYC and LOVED it. It’s on our list of MUST HAVE’s. What a great product to win!!

  55. I would love to give this to my sister, who is having her first baby. I love that it looks so modern and that is looks so calming for baby. (I can’t believe it has a 130 pound weight limit – wow.)

  56. My daughter loves her swing but will grow out of it soon. The leaf would be a perfect option for my little zen baby. I love that due to the weight limit my older child would be able use it too.

  57. I love the color of this bouncer and the fact that it has such a high weight limit. The nuna has such a modern look to it. I would love one for the new baby.

  58. i love it! my 10 month old would absolutely love this seat too. When he is calm enough to want to sit still and stop crawling and standing on everything, anyway. It is so great that you can use it for sooo long. I loved our bouncer, but we were only able to use it for a few months. We love our swing too, but he has almost outgrown it. this might be the answer to helping our little one take naps, once he officially is too big for his swing. (he sleeps great at night, but during the daytime needs a little extra push to sleep)

  59. All 3 of my boys ages 1,3, and 5 could use this chair. I love that! With 130 weight limit even I could get a turn 🙂

  60. Wow, this looks amazing!! I would love to have this for baby #3 due here soon, love how I wouldn’t have to worry about the older kids climbing in!

  61. I would love to win this for my nephew and niece! They love to lay in their old bouncy chair— even though they are much to big for it now!

  62. Holy weight limit! I would love to win something that will actually be usable for a long time, unlike everything else my son grows out of within months (if I’m lucky)

  63. Would love to win the Leaf! It’s a gorgeous chair that will last for years! Not only is it pleasing to the eye (match my decor? yes please!) but my littles would find it SO comfy!

  64. I know this is just the type of chair that would bring comfort to my toddler. Both boys would use this and could use it for years. I know that this would be the new go-to resting place and book readig incentive.

  65. I am having my second baby in April and I would love to win the nuna leaf for my baby. I love babygizmo and before I purchase a baby product I always watch your videos first to make sure I am getting the best product, thanks so much.

  66. I would love to have because it goes well beyond the infant stage and to have a wonderful piece that my kids can enjoy for years rather than months would be awesome.

  67. This looks like an awesome seat that would last past our first kid (who could show up any day now)… I love that it’s a smooth, motorless rock (hooray no batteries!)!

  68. This would be great for my second daughter arriving in March because my 18 month old won’t break it if I leave it on the floor!

  69. the bouncer we currently have will be stashed away in just 1 or 2 months! I love how you can use this bouncer for so much longer! Basically, I can curl up with my ipad in it!

  70. I love the swaying motion and the versatility for use with older children! Toddlers and preschoolers always seem to want to climb in the baby bouncers and now they can.

  71. I love the construction on this seat. It looks far better than any other I’ve purchased in the past. My daughter loved hers and I know the new baby will too! Thanks!

  72. why do I want to win the Nuna Leaf? There are so many reasons. 1) my baby seems fussy in all the bouncers and swings I have tried, I would love to try this and see if she likes it since it is so different than anything else. 2) I love that there is no motor so it doesn’t make noise and waste batteries. 3) I love that it holds as much as it does. Since having my baby, who is 8 weeks old, my other daughters try and go in her baby swings/bouncers. I am so scared they will break it. If I had the leaf I wouldn’t have to worry. Plus it is something that will be used for a long time, not just a few months like the other swings/bouncers.

  73. I’d love the Nuna Leaf for my son. When he reached 20 pounds and we had to put his big swing away he seemed so disappointed. This would be great for him as he continues to grow.

  74. I love that it accommodates older children too. I have an eight month old and three year old that would love this chair!

  75. I would love to have the Nuna Leaf because my little one is due in March and I don’t have to worry about the 2 year old breaking it if she sits in it.

  76. I would LOVE to win because my 14 month old would love to relax in it (as well as my 3 year old!) It would also be great when we have another little one! I love how it rocks back and forth and that it has such a high weight limit!

  77. This seat looks awesome. And the weight limit is amazing. I wouldn’t have to worry about my almost 4 year old trying it out.

  78. I’d love to win for our 8 month old who out grew her swing and she LOVED sitting in it. I love that our 3 year old could also use it and I’ll be watching my cousins new baby when she goes back to work at the end of the summer.

  79. This will be awesome! my son would love this and the best part is that its organic, sustainable, eco friendly, and lasts a long time!

  80. this is so awesome! how innovative and i love that its diff than the ones out there that are only up to 20 lbs!! long term investment!

  81. This looks fabulous!!! Thanks for all the great giveaways would love to win this and gift it to my very good friend who is due in June!

  82. I have been loving this Leaf before it arrived to the USA. It was in my registry and no one purchased it 🙁 I am having my first baby in a month and would love love this!!

  83. I would love to win the Nuna Leaf because I have a 2 months old, 2 years old, and 5 years old and need all the help I can get. I love useful “baby” product that can grow with a child and serve multi-purpose. I can see my kids napping in it, lounging and reading/watching TV in it.

  84. This looks AMAZING!! After two children (ages 1 and 2.5) who hated swings, rockers, and bouncers, I would LOVE to have this for our baby due in February. Not only does it look like THE best soother, but it also has a weight capacity for curious toddlers.

  85. I would love to win the Nuna Leaf for my sister who is pregnant with her second child. She just recently moved across the country and wasn’t able to save any of her baby gear from her first born. This would be such a great gift that would withstand a baby and a toddler and any other babies to come. 😀

  86. I would love to win the Nuna Leaf becaus ei have a three year old who would love to watch movies while sitting in it and a new born who is three weeks old who would love the rocking and probably relax and sleep on it! It would a real life saver for a stay at home mom of two!

  87. my toddler keeps trying to sit in the bouncer but I’m afraid he’ll break it! with the leaf we’d have a great seat for our newborn and toddler!

  88. I’d love to win one because with a newborn and toddler it would be nice to be able to put down the newborn in a safe seat that he can use for many years to come while I play with my toddler.

  89. I would love to win a Nuna leaf! I like how it sways with no motor involved & it grows with you child so they can use it for years to come. Love it!

  90. I love that my older children couldn’t break this by sitting in it, because you know they have to try out all baby items at least once.

  91. I would love to win this for our 10 month old and the fact that the 4 year old can use and not break is an added bonus! Thanks!

  92. This is pretty awesome! I would love something that I could actually use for more than a couple months! It might help soothe my colicky baby to sleep!

  93. I would love to win the Leaf! I think it is such a perfect product and have been tracking it for months…I can’t wait to own it! I love that it can grow with baby and is so great to look at too!

  94. I would love this. This would be great for both of my kids and would grow with them. I love that it doesn’t have batteries.

  95. This is EXACTLY what we have been looking for! Our poor little guy has always been a big boy (currently 21 mos and almost 34lbs and almost 3ft tall!) and the seats with harnesses are just too small for him. He was so sad (as was Mommy) when we couldn’t use his swing anymore for this reason. This would give him such a comfy place to hangout for quite awhile! Thank you for this opportunity! 🙂

  96. My niece was recently diagnosed with Rhett Syndrome. She has no control of her body and at this point, my cousin can only lay her down on the floor or the typical bouncer that she outgrew a long time ago…lol! I immediately thought of her when I saw this. If I don’t win it, I’m definitely buying it for her 🙂

  97. I’d like to win the Leaf because it’s a piece of baby gear that my forty-pound three-year-old won’t accidentally break by sitting in. It’s always nice to have something big brother can use too!

  98. I would love to win this because my son wants to be held all the time and I want to be able to sit him down every once in awhile 🙂

  99. I’ve never had any type of bouncy seat for any of my babies so far and this one is awesome! I love the swaying back & forth! Definitely something I’ll use

  100. I’d like to win the leaf because my older child, who is 2.5, always wants to be in her little brother’s bouncer. Now she can!

  101. I work from home and will be making calls when the baby is sleeping. No loud motor is awesome for this. I also like the sleek styling and knowing that when my 6 year old tries it out (inevitable) it will not break!

  102. I’d love to win this for my daughter! She’s on the chunkier side (only 6 months old but already wearing 18 month clothing) and most baby products don’t accomodate her size.

  103. I would love this for baby #2 on the way. This looks way better and comfortable than the one I had for my daughter 4 yrs ago.

  104. It’s beautiful. And the weight limit is awesome. I have a 2yo who sits in our bouncy seat daily and every day I wonder if today will be the day it breaks 🙂

  105. I would love to have one of these seats. baby # 3 is coming in a few days and this seat would replace a few seats which would be ideal because space is limited…..due to lots of toys:) Love the swaying motion and no motor is awesome.

  106. I would love to win the Leaf because I can use it for my toddler now and for his future brother or sister. Plus I love the modern look of it!

  107. I’d actually love to win this for a friend having a surprise baby. She wasn’t expected to have anymore children because of health complications. They got rid of all their baby things after their last son was born, and now she is due with a miricle baby girl!

  108. This looks so unique!! I like the fact that it is not as bulky as other swings, but still have that swing function. I like how modern it looks, too! Love it!!

  109. My little one isn’t a fan of swings but this looks like something that he would really enjoy as it is a motion he enjoys when i hold him. If i don’t win i’m going to have to hint to the grandparents that this would be a great gift.

  110. Love it! Just found out we are expecting our fourth and to have something that we can use with the baby and not have to worry about our older kids breaking if they decide they want to be the ‘baby’ for the day would be awesome!

  111. I love the high weight limit! My son is about to out grow his bouncer, and I think this would be a great piece since he can use it for so long.

  112. I would love to win this because I just gave birth to a baby boy two weeks ago and the seat I got him is not doing anything for him he crys when I lay him in and hes a very fussy baby the nuna leaf looks very comfortable and I no would sooth him he would love to be put to sleep in this seat also my two year old is at his jealous stage of the new addition he tends to want to lay in the baby seat which hes to big for it he gets mad and cry with the nuna leaf its fit for his stage and he can be the baby he wants ti be all over again and I would so love this seat I feel my sleepless adfternoons and nights would be all over once this seat is in my home

  113. What a great chair! I love everything about it! I’ve always disliked that baby items only cover a short window of time :/ Yay for the Dutch!

  114. I would love to win because I know my baby would LOVE this seat! The construction looks durable and the seat would be like floating on a cloud for her. The fact it sways is unique and a feature I know she would love.

  115. i simply love the leaf, I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old and i can only imagine both would love this chair. I love how the weight limit is so high.

  116. I would love to win this because besides it is really cool, and with our third and final baby boy on the way, we need all the help we can get! 🙂

  117. It’s a really cool new concept in comfort for baby and easier motion than conventional bouncers. Plus what a huge weight limit, worth the use for years…

  118. I would love to win because I’ve never found an effective bouncer with my babies! Would love the 3rd baby to finally have something nice!
