If you are looking for a gift idea for baby, here is our Baby Gizmo Gift idea #1: Manhattan Toy’s Baby Stella.
Baby Stella is adorable but what baby doll isn’t? The choices among baby dolls are a bit overwhelming so what makes Baby Stella different? First off Baby Stella is soft, super soft. No hard plastic faces on this doll which makes it a perfect doll for younger, less coordinated babies and toddlers. She is stuffed head to toe for ultimate huggability. Baby Stella is also stuffed with cute true-to-life baby features like a big belly, frog like legs, an outie belly button, ten toes and just a touch of hair. She has a round little booty filled with some sort of beanie baby like material which helps Baby Stella sit upright in strollers, car seats and anywhere else Thing 2 puts her. Although she doesn’t sit up on her own without at least some back support.
Now on to the wardrobe. Baby Stella has an easy to use diaper with velcro on the sides for real diaper changing fun. Her shirt has velcro along the back making dress-up time easy and as stress free as possible. Her matching capris fit nicely and feel warm and fuzzy during snuggle time. Our favorite accessory is the included pacifier. It attaches with the use of magnets so little fingers don’t get frustrated trying to fit the pacifier in Baby Stella’s mouth, genius!
We don’t yet own any accessory kits or extra outfits but some have already made it onto Thing 2’s list for Santa this year. The feeding set and diaper changing set are at the top of the list. Once Thing 2 is a bit older we will start collecting outfits and maybe even get her a doll carrier. We love that accessories could keep this doll new and exciting while Thing 2 grows.
There are a handful of Baby Stella dolls to choose from including their newest addition: a boy! Thing 1 likes to help take care of Baby Stella too so we may have to tell Santa to send us the baby brother Sam doll too! If the boy doll is not for you they also have Baby Stella in beige or with more hair in the blonde and black hair variety.
Thing 2 loves this doll which means we love it too but if any improvements were to be made we would love to see an all natural and green version for the future made with organic cotton or bamboo.
