Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program

Barnes and Noble

Do you have a young reader in grades 1 through 6?  He or she can earn a free book this summer through the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program!

All your child needs to do is read eight books and record them in a Reading Journal, which you can download here. Your child will need to list each book’s title, author, and to whom he or she would recommend the book. Then, bring the completed journal to your local Barnes & Noble store, and your child can choose a free book from a special selection for his or her grade level! The selection includes popular titles such as Jane O’Connor’s Fancy Nancy: Nancy Clancy, Super Sleuth for grades 1 and 2, Dav Pilkey’s The Adventures of Captain Underpants for grades 3 and 4, and Carl Hiaasen’s Hoot for grades 5 and 6.

You can also help your child get more out of his or her summer reading with a free kit containing activity sheets, teaching materials, and more.

Here’s wishing you and your children a summer of happy reading!
