Bloggy Boot Camp St. Louis Giveaway

Congratulations to our winner –

Jenna K.

NOTE: Let me just start of by saying this post is probably not going to pertain to most of our audience. Most of our readers are parents, not bloggers, and we love you for that, but this post is mostly for our blogging friends. A special giveaway just for them!  Don’t be sad if that’s not you because you know we have that huge YouTube Giveaway happening now just for our regular parent (or parents-to-be or grandparents…etc) readers!

Even though I’ve technically been “blogging” for almost 7 years, I’ve only recently started going to blog conferences. Hey, BabyGizmo.com is a giant website to run which leaves me with little time!  Last year, I decided to make the time and started with one of the biggest blog conferences there is…BlogHer. It was a fun by crazy experience. It was an overwhelming conference not only in information but just sheer size. Anyone who is anyone in the blog world shows up to Blogher. While it was a fantastic experience, it wasn’t a very intimate conference. I should have started the “blog conference world” with a smaller, more intimate one rather than throw myself into one that you could compare to a huge state school sorority!

This year, I’m making an effort to attend more conferences, meet more people and learn blogging tips and tricks that I may not have known. But this year, I’m starting smaller to hopefully get more out of it before I tackle BlogHer in August again.

This is why I’m going to Bloggy Boot Camp in St. Louis on April 21, 2012. Bloggy Boot Camp is a wonderful (from what I hear!) blog conference organized by the SITSgirls. It’s a small and intimate blog conference that happens all in one day.

Here is what Andi from Misadventures with Andi says about it:

There is a real sense of lending support and a helping hand in building and growing your blog.  There are no egos.  Just a large group of multi-leveled, multi-exprienced bloggers who want to help you in any way possible. It is friendly, stress-free and productive.

I attended a second Bloggy Boot Camp last year in San Diego and was thrilled that the SITS Girls have kept it small and manageable so when you attend you feel like you can meet and interact with a lot a people without being completely overwhelmed, a good thing when you are an introvert like me!

Now, if anyone knows me, I’m not an introvert but this sounds perfect for easing into the blog conference world. So, I signed up!  I’m headed to St. Louis for Bloggy Boot Camp.

And you know what? I have an extra ticket for a fellow blogger to attend the conference too!  That means we are holding a Bloggy Boot Camp St. Louis Giveaway.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Prize: One (1) ticket for Bloggy Boot Camp in St. Louis. (Note: This does not include any travel or hotel.  It’s just the ticket! So, I’m thinking bloggers in the Midwest are going to be the ones who want to enter.)
