Also, Britax will be offering a Baby Carrier Seat Extender Insert that they hope will put your mind at ease about the soft carrier.  Here is the description:

BRITAX BABY CARRIER SEAT EXTENDER INSERT

Are you comparing it to the basic baby bjorn carrier? As we have a baby bjorn and i was able to put my newborn in from 8ilbs, the straps adjust from the side not the back and it also has a lot of similar features?

Is the carrier a cotton material or is it just the bib that is cotton? can you remove the inner layer for a more open carrier that will let air circulate for hot days?

Questions:

What is the infant weight limit for this carrier?

The “myth of hip dysplasia” was addressed in a link article, but what about the other problems with “crotch danglers”? The baby’s weight is on its crotch and the base of its spine. How would that feel? And how might long-term use of a crotch dangler affect spinal development? I’m thinking these carriers are still on the market because people don’t use them enough to cause issues–thankfully!
