Britax Introduces B-Ready Stroller This Week

This week Britax is introducing a brand new stroller line designed for parent and child.

The B-READY is a versatile and stylish modular luxury stroller equipped to meet the growing family’s needs.

The B-READY reminds us of a combination of the Uppa Baby VISTA, Baby Jogger City Select and Phil & Teds Sport with Doubles Kit!  The B-READY is a single stroller that can transform to a tandem double!  The stroller even has the ability to accomodate two infant car seats at once to turn it into a double travel system.  The stroller will have 14 different seating configurations and is designed to be folded with one or two seats attached.

The main seat is reversible with a few recline positions and a secure 5-point harness.  The second seat attaches with the child facing forward to the frame behind the main seat.  It looks like the second seat will go into the basket by the rear wheels.  We see that there are wheel guards on the rear wheels but we haven’t tested this stroller at all yet to see how close the second child is to the wheels or the stability with two children aboard.

Overall, without testing it yet, it looks pretty darn cool!  Stay tuned for more information!   Here are two short commercials from Britax that give you a sneek peek:

Hi Hollie, Most of my friends have a BOB and I have to say, I love how easy to is to push the stroller fully loaded or over gravel trails or grass. But recently I have seen a B ready with its new tires in store (really nice!)… I am not a jogger but love to go on long daily walks, so am torn between the BOB’s awesome push and the B-ready’s ability to convert into different configurations., and “be ready” for when the second child comes along. I would need a stroller that can handle the gravel roads at… Read more »

Hollie – I was just wondering if you would purchase the Britax B Ready over the Bob’s Revolution. I’m at a loss as to what to register for!

Thanks Hollie! I have also heard of people using the P&T hammerhead second seat with the explorer b/c it reclines. Have you heard of this?

I am trying to decide between the P&T explorer & the b-ready for my 2.5 yr old & newborn. do both of them handle well on uneven sidewalks? I live in a city with high curbs and am concerned about being able to go up high curbs when it’s in doubles mode. It’s great that they are stable and won’t tip back, but will they tip back when you need to go up a step?

I love the B Ready too….but was concerned about the smoothness of the ride with those plastic wheels….any comments? Thanks!!!

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to let you all (including Hollie) know that I am 5′ 11″ and don’t evn come close to kicking the second seat of the britax. My husband is 6′ 2″ and neither does he. I thought I would let you guys know in case you were worried about that!!! The B ready is THE best stroller invented to date. (In my personal opinion, of course:)

Thanks mygunyeh for the comparison! I’m fairly set on the B-Ready but it’s god to know some of the cons.

Can anyone tell me how much the chastity of the B-Ready weighs? I can’t seem to find an answer for that. Thanks!

Some differences with Uppababy Vs. Britax B-Ready: WHEELS – Vista wins. Vista had better wheels. Vista had tread and were more grippery tire like feel. B-Ready had smooth plastic feel to them. I can see that they would get all scratched up easily. B-Ready also had fenders on them which seem to add to bulk. Comparing closely it almost appear one could put Vista’s wheels to B-Ready. It’s that similar! HANDLE – B-Ready wins. Handle on B-Ready was nicer than Vista. It pivoted instead of telescoping (which was what the Vista does). The center was had a grip that was… Read more »

I have a tall, 40lb 3 year old and a new born, i’m debating between the UppaBaby Vista and Britax B ready, I’ve wtached both your reviews and it’s actually made me love both more. Which one would you choose for 2 kids with big weight and size differences?

Hi Hollie,

I just saw your video review of the Britax B-Ready. Great job and thank you. Here is my question for you: I’ve tested the UppaBaby Vista in doubles mode and my toddler did not like the rumbleseat. She felt it was too close to the back of the main seat and it actually made her a little distressed. How does the Britax 2nd seat compare with the rumbleseat in terms of closeness to the main seat?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my question!

I am curious to know your thoughts/comments on this stroller. Do you have plans to test it out anytime in the near future?
