Cute Nursing Necklaces

Have you ever been feeding your baby and thought, “Man, those little talons of yours sure do hurt! I should get one of those necklaces so you can have something other to claw at!” Because I know I have, a million times. But see, problem is, where do you even start? I’ve had several of these wonderful necklaces that are for teething or nursing and I can tell you there are a lot of brands out there.

I’ve compiled a list for you guys of five super cute necklaces to check out. Because some of them are Etsy listings though, please be aware that they may not be available in the specific colors or exact styles shown here.

Chewbeads I bought these with my oldest son and I was very excited about them! When they arrived the beads were a bit larger than I thought and because they went all the way around my neck, my hair was constantly tangled in them (ouch!) but they served their purpose wonderfully! And they have a break away clasp and many styles and colors…including silicone “dog tags” for Dad!

crochet bead

Crochet Wood Beads I love the look of these beads! The link takes you to one of my favorite Etsy shops for teething/nursing jewelry called Kangaroo Care. The wooden beads are completely safe to chew on and most of their necklaces are adjustable in length.

Fabric Covered Beads Another favorite in Etsy is The Vintage Honey Shop. The fabrics they use are so adorable and the ribbon tie for the closure adds a very pretty and girly touch! You can also make a DIY version of these necklaces using this tutorial. (*Note: I DO NOT recommend using marbles, I’d prefer to use untreated wooden beads you can find here)

silli me

Silli Me Jewels I just bought this exact necklace. I LOVE IT! Seriously, the beads are silicone and a lot smaller than the Chewbeads and they don’t get tangled in my hair! I was worried about the colors, but they are absolutely stunning in person!

Teething Bling If you want to go with just a single pendant, this is the place to look. Although they have a lot of other options including the double strand and patterned pendants!

Have you noticed a pattern that all of these are safe for baby to chew on as well? If you can’t stomach the thought of baby drool draping your neck, and just want something to distract your baby, consider a personalized necklace like this one from Lullaby Links. The come in silver or gold, are timeless, and last forever!
