Cybex Cloud Q Infant Car Seat Review

Sharing is caring!

It’s been a little bit of a wait since Cybex first announced the first reclining rear-facing infant car seat 2 years ago back in 2014 but it’s FINALLY here! Yes, the Cybex Cloud Q is finally available for sale and we have the entire scoop on this innovative car seat that keeps convenience and safety features front and center.

The Cybex Cloud Q rear-facing infant car seat is suitable for 4-35 lbs and up to 30 inches and easily converts to a full-recline position outside of the car. Yes, this car seat turns into a carrycot-like environment so that your baby can have a more laid-back, ergonomic position whether on a stroller frame or in your house. Plus, in this lie-flat position, it creates a longer leg-rest for you child. This innovative seat also has telescopic linear side-impact protection system, an 11-position height-adjustable headrest and an XXL canopy offering sun protection with UVP50+

Features of the Cybex Cloud Q:

  • Ergonomic design with full-recline position outside of the car
  • Removable newborn inlay for premature and very small babies
  • 11-position height-adjustable headrest with integrated harness guides

Nice, but I wish taking the Cloud Q off the Cybex stroller was done with a single button instead of one on each side. Makes it impossible to keep one hand on the handle for easy shifting from stroller to car seat.

Have you by chance tried this with baby jogger's maxi cosi adapters? It's tricky to get it to attach to UppaBaby's adapters due to the shape of the bottom of the seat where it reclines. I really have to push down hard to get it to click. Wondering if Baby Jogger's adapters would have the same issue or not.

As a car seat tech and a mom of soon-to-be four, I LOVE this seat. I can't wait to use it in a few weeks.

You can't beat the advanced safety features (you forgot to show the rebound bar/handle)! I especially love the rebound control when installed baseless...perfect for travel!

And it works with maxi Cosi adapters so there are so many great stroller options! I am using it with my 2014 Vista.

I LOVE the cloud Q! I was worried it wouldn't come in in time, so I can definitely imagine the people who missed out when they thought it would come out last year! Yes, it's a bit heavy, BUT, I wouldn't trade it in for any other car seat. As far as I am concerned, for my baby, this is the best and safest option I can find on the US market, and I'm thrilled to have mine. I also love the canopy, like a cute little cocoon for my little bug! Now, I'm just waiting for that Austlen stroller to come in to complete my baby gear!
