Designers, Parents and Grandmas Rejoice for reCrib!

What is reCrib?

Welcome to reCrib, the online marketplace for the best, gently used baby and kids gear – the must-have cribs, beds, changing tables, dressers, strollers, highchairs, car seats, bouncy seats, and more. is for people who want the highest quality – design and brands – for their kids, at the best value, and for those who want to sell the items they no longer use.

This place could be a godsend for designers, parents and grandparents! Baby stuff is expensive, especially when you get something only to find out it doesn’t meet your expectations, doesn’t fit your needs or your baby simply doesn’t like it.

I like that it’s a site specifically for baby gear and baby/child items. There are other location-based websites devoted to selling/buying online but they are definitely not specific to baby items; and I feel that there are less serious buyers with a higher chance of wasting your time with lackadaisical lookie loos while on those other sites. At least that’s what I’ve found… Chances are, if you are going to spend time on reCrib, buying or selling, you are going there with an item in mind.

Currently, the categories on reCrib are: strollers, high chairs, furniture, cribs and toys (with additional categories available, like car seats, etc.). I like that you can browse and search the categories, before signing up, to see what is available and what the prices are.

The site is easy on the eyes (not at all cluttered) and very easy to navigate. You can search by map location– determined by zip code– or through a list of available items. You can also sort items alphabetical, by location and by price (high/low). Below each item’s picture are the name, price, and distance from your zip code (the one you use when you sign up).

reCrib’s motto is recycle your kid stuff, regain your space, recoup your cost.

If you sign up before April 30th, your first three listings are free!

There’s even an iPhone app on the way, making it even more user-friendly to buy and sell.
