Easter Dresses She Can Wear Again and Again

I love holidays that call for special clothes. Really, I do. What I don’t love is the price tag that comes with outfitting my family of four with new pieces that we’ll only wear once.

Suits, ties, heels and fancy dresses just aren’t our norm, so when I splurge on Easter I do my best to avoid the ultra fancy. If we can’t wear it on a normal day it doesn’t make the cut. It just doesn’t make sense to wear it once and then tuck it into the back of our closets hoping for a wedding invite (or equally fancy celebration) when said piece might still fit us.

So … shopping for Easter with a holiday and everyday in mind. Sound daunting? It’s not at all! Keep these things in mind and you’re sure to pick a winner!

For today’s example I’m going to focus in on little girl’s dresses. As I browse for my 4 year old’s Easter dress I’ll be looking for 3 things …

  1. Easy washing — I’m not a fan of ironing and will never ever ever purchase something for my daughter that requires dry cleaning, I’m on the hunt for wash at home awesomeness.
  2. Versatile print — No bunnies will make it on to her Easter dress, I’m looking for a cheery print that will transition well to summer.
  3. Length — We rarely find ourselves at the playground in floor length dresses, we do head out in knee length dresses coupled with leggings so knee length range it is.

Here are Easter 2015’s contenders … easter dresses 450

First up we have the Citizen Chambray Dress from Tea Collection. Chambray is going to be hot forever, no? Definitely washable and an easy one to fancy up with a cute hair bow, tights and Easter worthy shoes.

I want this dress in my size! The Floral-Print Flutter-Sleever Dress from Old Navy is too darling! Add some pink or silver Saltwaters and you’ve got yourself one adorable Easter beauty.

My blog buddy, Lauren, showcased this Mauve Lace Dress from Taylor Joelle on Instagram the other day and I’m in love with its twirl-ability. A must for Easter … and everyday!

After all was said and done, the Apricot and Blue Flower Tiered Dress from Little Anmy is what I have prepped for my daughter this year. I found it on a Zulily sale and couldn’t say no since we already had yellow Saltwaters as our chosen Easter shoes.

Simple and neutral, the Short Sleeve Lace Dress from Target can transition through every season. Can’t you just see it with floral leggings?

Curious about my plan for my little man? I’m not even buying new clothes this year … just accessorizing!
