GIVEAWAY: VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor

Vtech monitor

Congrats to our winner –

Veronica B. – Entry #362

We had so much fun with the 6th Annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Extravaganza, that we couldn’t just quit giving things away for the holiday season cold turkey. This is something you have to ease out of. It is a giveaway detox period, if you will. Sure, we still have the fabulous BabyBjorn One Carrier and Kindle Fire HDX Giveaway happening this week, but we thought we needed one more before Christmas.

That is why we’ve added one more giveaway this week. This is a one-week giveaway that starts now and ends next Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 11:59pm EST.

One lucky winner will receive the new and improved VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor! You want to know all about what you could win, right?!?

Just watch our video review below and then enter at the bottom of the page with the Rafflecopter widget.

How to Enter

What’s up for grabs:

(1) VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor

HOW TO ENTER: Rafflecopter is back for this one but Facebook has changed the game! Now, we can use Facebook “likes” as an entry method. So, you know what?!? It is going to be MANDATORY to “like” the giveaway post on Facebook to enter. (NOTE: You always have the option to just leave a comment on the blog for that entry and do nothing else. This is for those who don’t do Facebook.)

Yep, our giveaway celebration = our rules! (The Facebook giveaway post you need to “LIKE” will be pinned to the top of our wall on Monday and the link will be in the Rafflecopter widget after that.)  Make sure you do this because we check. If you are chosen the winner and you didn’t “like” it on Facebook – you are not the winner.)

Here’s the thing: A Facebook “like” AND a blog comment are the only mandatory entries! Once you do those two entry methods, it will open up all the other “optional” entry methods. Baby Gizmo friends don’t just stick with “mandatory” though, right? We are overachievers! So, there are additional (optional) entries you can get.  But let us warn you – make sure you actually do the entries! If you click on “leave a blog comment” on the Rafflecopter widget – make sure you actually leave a blog comment. We check! If you don’t do the actual entry – it doesn’t count! You won’t win. We’ll both be sad.

  1. I love that it has a 1000 ft range. The one we have now only has 500 ft on a good day and it’s not enough for us. This would be an awesome win for our house!

  2. I love the night vision! This is such a cool monitor! And i need a baby monitor. I don’t have one yet! Would love to win this!!! 🙂

  3. I’ve never owned a cool up to date monitor so I’d be lying if I only liked one thing. The temp sensor, all the capabilities are blowing my mind. Lol 🙂

  4. i am expecting my first baby this spring and would love this! i love the temperature feature as well as the automated infrared night vision feature! sounds so comforting for a new momma!

  5. I really like the data encryption part of this monitor. Any electronics transmitting data are hacked, so this is a nice feature. Would love to read more about how they are doing it.

  6. I love that this is a video monitor. It seems so simple but my video one broke with my first child so we went with audio monitor and what a difference!! I would love to have a video monitor for the little one we are soon expecting.

  7. Night vision, we set up our older video camera to capture our 12 month old, and we found out she doesn’t go to sleep until 30 mins to an hour after putting her down. So now we are so curious to find out when she is waking, how long. This really does affect her during the day.

  8. I read the product description on the VTech Safe & Sound Pan and Tilt Color Video Baby Monitor–all I can say is –AWESOME. If I have to pick one feature as my favorite it would be the automated infrared night vision–just to cool. This monitor is really packed with great features.

  9. love that the camera pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side and tilts as many as 124 degrees up and down. The camera can also zoom up to two times.

  10. Digital transmission, Automated infrared night vision, 5-level sound indicator, AC adapters included for the baby and parent unit, are all great features!!

  11. Out of range indicator and High-sensitivity microphone and Rechargeable battery with low-battery alert on the parent unit are great features!!

  12. I would love to win this. It would mean not worrying about my baby during naps and at bedtime. Also my son would take longer naps at his nana’s house as they often wake him up too early when opening the door to check in on him. Fingers crossed 🙂

  13. I love pretty much ALL of the features of the VTech Safe & Sound Baby Monitor, it’s hard to choose one, but the Automated infrared night vision is AWEsome. Being able to see my baby in the dark eases my mind greatly!

  14. P.s. I love that you can hook up to 4 cameras to it and see it all on one screen…with two kids and one on the way that would come in handy!!!

  15. 2 features I Love.. the temperature sensor and the zoom ability. we have big issue with temp so that would def help and zoom, I can always keep an eye on my little monkey

  16. I’ve been searching for a video monitor for a month now and haven’t settled on one. I didn’t know that vetch had one! I love their products, and this pan and tilt camera would be perfect for us! I love the temp feature too! Pick me! 🙂

  17. Definitely love the night vision! Also the temperature sensor, my house is 135 years old and the heating system is a bit quirky…

  18. The features that I like about the VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor is the 1,000′ of range,•High resolution 2.8″ color LCD display,•Full motion video: 22 frames per second and the •Automated infrared night vision

  19. Data encryption for security because i’ve seen incidents on the news of baby video monitors being hacked, so the security is amazing on this device!

  20. My favorite feature is the screen! Monitors have come a long way since my first baby 22 years ago. I’d love to be able to SEE my baby girl while I’m downstairs doing my thing.

  21. I LOOOOOOVE that this VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor! The Pan feature is simply drool worthy! I have so many facets to love here– multiple camera…. talk back, volume control, the chunky parent unnit (I like that) the crisp picture, night vision! Wow! But YES! the PAN feature wins as my ultimate fav! I’ll definately be buying a couple extra cameras to go with it if I get to win! One for the older boy’s room and one for the play room! YES!

  22. Pan and Tilt!!! Really cool and need that so I don’t have to go to room and adjust it constantly. & Temperature control is very needed 🙂

  23. This is awesome! For my first I had an old school monitor. I love the “Talk-back” feature on this monitor! And the temperature sensor!

  24. I really need cameras all over the place! !!! I have one in the room but I need one in their play area while I cook. Fingers crossed!!!

  25. I love being able to see the baby wherever you are- i am a serious worrier ill check to make sure my sons breathing multiple times when hes laying right next to me lol

  26. I love that I would be able to watch more areas as my toddler and infant will share a room, when new baby gets a little bigger, he will be in our room the first 3 months.

  27. I love the pan, tilt and zoom feature. I have my toddler and infant sharing a room. It would be amazing to be able to check both kids with 1 monitor

  28. Oh my gosh, I want this!!! I love everything about it, but what I love most of all is that you can connect up to four cameras. I currently have three – yes THREE – monitors right now (and yes, every one of them is in use – I have three kids three and under). One of my monitors works well, but for the other two the parent units have to be plugged into the wall at all times, which really limits what I can do around the house, and requires a lot of plugging and unplugging if I want to move the parent units. Winning this monitor would be an awesome Christmas present!!!

  29. I have two favorite features… The pan, tilt, and zoom, and the 1000′ range. This sounds like an awesome monitor! I would love to be able to have one with a camera.

  30. Most importantly, I LOVE that it can scan the room!!! The full motion video, is awesome! The temperature sensor is pretty cool. And night vision is also amazing. This is a really nice baby monitor. One of the best you can buy!!

  31. I love that its 270 degrees side to side! and 1000′ range is also amazing! I would love this for the baby i have on the way!

  32. There’s quite a few features that the vtech baby monitor has that I read/heard about that I really like. But I would have to say my two favorite ones would be the talk back and the pan and tilt. The talk back allows you to let my baby know I’m on my way, hearing my voice may calm him down. The pan and tilt is awesome because you can move almost all around the room with just a touch of a button.

  33. What a great monitor! I love that it gives the temperature in the baby’s room. I always worry that my children are too cold or warm.

  34. I love that you can see what is going on with your baby. There is no guessing and as they get older you can let them safely explore their environment without them knowing.

  35. Love video monitors because they save extra trips to baby’s room. But a 1000 foot range?! Wow! That’s unheard of! I think that is my most favorite feature of this monitor.

  36. I love the talk back feature for when you have toddlers – and that it can zoom and swivel a bit – so they really know you are watching them (like eyes on the back of your head)

  37. Lots of great features, but my favorite would have to be the night vision. How convenient for the parent! And definitely a good feature to put a parent’s mind at ease when they are half asleep. I also can’t help but note the incredible price! We have been researching video monitors and some of them can get pretty pricey–this seems like an incredible monitor with all the bells and whistles without breaking the bank. Thanks for a great video review!

  38. I love the new updated version of this. We have the one before this one and love it. It’s starting to fall apart do to normal everyday and night use. Love that it can move more.

  39. SO many great features, but I’m told I will really appreciate the “AC adapters included for the baby and parent unit”, so we don’t blow thru batteries on a regular basis!

  40. I would love to win this so I have added awareness of my baby. I can watch my baby sleep if I go into the other room. The night vision is an amazing feature.

  41. This is the one item my wife and I never got for our baby shower. I would love to surprise her with this to help take off the stress she experiences while the baby is in his crib!

  42. Definitely need one! We’ve gone through three baby monitors in three years. So expensive, and so disappointed with the brands we’ve had. Each wasn’t cheap either and were at least $300 each. 🙁

  43. I really need one of these! We are adopting a special needs toddler, and just haven’t been able to swing the cost of this just yet. This would help out lots!
