The Fisher-Price Kid Tough Music Player was designed with rough and tough preschoolers in mind. This is a music player that is going to bounce up and keep on playing when it takes a tumble down the stairs. Thrown to the floor during a tantrum? Yep, this player can handle it! It’s a little (but super durable!) boombox for your little one.
Fisher-Price has made all the features very little kid friendly! It features a rubber, easy-grip handle to make it easy to travel with and simple controls and large buttons. The two high-quality, built-in speakers let your child share their favorite music with others. Or if a little quiet is necessary, there is a headphone jack to keep the music to themselves. Our testers loved the sing-along microphone that let them add their own spunk to the songs. The microphone hooks onto a side holder but we wished that it stayed in place a little better. It’s so easy to take the microphone out of the holder that is usually just falls out if it is barely brushed.
Like any toy that makes noise (especially music), we know you are wondering about volume control! Yep, the Fisher-Price Kid Tough Music player has a volume control on the side which gives the volume quite the range. We would still like the volume to come down just a bit more for quieter times that our kids refuse to wear the headphones. Note: Headphones are not included with the Music Player so we suggest you pick up a pair of great Fisher-Price kid headphones to go with it.)
Setting up the Music Player was so incredibly fast and easy. It’s like your traditional MP3 player in that you have to plug it into your computer to download songs. There is a downloadable music management software on the Fisher-Price website that has the Music Player up and running in less than 5 minutes. With our high-speed internet, we had the software downloaded and the songs that were already on my PC computer (it takes MP3, WMA or iTunes songs) on the music player in less than 5 minutes! And it wasn’t complicated. Anyone can do it!
The Music Player comes with 5 kid songs included and can store up to 4 hours of music. Plus, there is a LCD screen on the front of the player to let your child know which song they are on with the title and number of the song.
We are really impressed with this Music Player. It has already fallen out of the car, been dropped down the stairs and thrown to the ground during a tantrum and it’s still going strong. And during all that rough and tumble “play” it still looks great because the outside is covered in a durable rubber. If your young child loves music (and what kid doesn’t?), you have to consider the Fisher-Price Kid Tough Music Player! It would make a great holiday gift for the little rocker (or classical kid!) in your family! It retails for $50 and comes in pink or blue.
