Homemade Hot Chocolate

Sharing is caring!

Chocolate is the blog theme for the month of February! We woke up this morning to a major snow storm. What better way to beat the cold then with homemade hot chocolate!

I usually find the store-bought packs of hot chocolate to be loaded with sugar and not enough chocolate. I added my favorite dark chocolate to hot milk and made a delicious cup of chocolate perfection. Dark chocolate is actually good for you its loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals so drink up!

You can make a big pot of it then store it in the fridge for future cold days or nights. We all enjoyed a cup of this after playing in the snow. If I could only make homemade marshmallows this would take this cup of hot chocolate to a whole new level. Enjoy and stay warm!

Ingredients:
4 Cups of milk
1 Bar of good quality chocolate unsweetened
2 tablespoons of sugar
marshmallows

Method:
1. Chop up chocolate into small pieces.
2. Warm up milk under low heat and add chocolate and sugar stir well.
3. Add hot chocolate to mugs and top with marshmallows.
