If you are expecting a baby in 2016, there are a slew of new strollers that you need to know about. Singles, doubles and jogging/all-terrain strollers are going to hit the market and we are giving you the scoop to which one(s) you might want to include on your baby registry or just purchase for yourself.
Austlen Entourage (February 2016)
With a market flooded with strollers, it usually takes a lot to get me excited these days about a new stroller but the Austlen Entourage sure got my attention at the ABC Kids Expo this past October. This might just turn out to be the mother of all strollers! It can accommodate up to 150 lbs of kids and gear (the MOST a stroller has ever held!!) and is so versatile that it can be a single, a double, a stroller and a half (aka a sit n stand!) a cooler transporter and even a double travel system with two infant car seats! Did you catch that?? It can hold a full-size stroller! This will be your new best friend at the park, beach, in the city…where ever you go with baby!
Bumbleride Speed (Spring 2016)
The new Bumbleride Speed is the first designated running stroller to join the Bumbleride family and is designed to perform, no matter the athletic adventure. The Bumbleride Speed includes all air filled tires (16” rear, 12” front) and an all wheel suspension. Speed features Bumbleride’s new Speed3 steering which includes the following 3 modes:
1. Locked for running or training
2. 30-degree swivel for jogging or all terrain
3. Full 360-degree swivel for the city
Baby Jogger City Premiere (March 2016)
The Baby Jogger City Premiere (first announced as the Baby Jogger City Metro) is an updated version of the City Versa (which a little birdie told us is being discontinued!) and has a few features of the City Select mixed in. It has updated fabric and wheels from the Versa and the adjustable handle is replaced with a telescoping handle. It has a higher weight capacity (50lbs) and a taller seat back than the City Select but it does not transform into a double stroller.
Rachel Zoe Quinny Moodd (Spring 2016)
With a new collaboration with Rachel Zoe, the Quinny Moodd will have a new, chic look in Spring 2016. This new collection features black and white contrasting fabrics with brown leather handles and 5-point harness pads. If you are into designer baby gear, this will be one of the hottest to hit the market this Spring.

GB Pockit (Spring 2016)
The GB Pockit is a Guinness World Record winner for the world’s smallest stroller fold. This was the talk of the ABC Kids Expo in October with a lot of big buzz surrounding this little stroller. This travel stroller doesn’t have a reclining seat and the basket is small BUT it can be carried on an airplane and fits in the overhead compartment with no problem AND you’ll have the bragging rights of having the world’s smallest stroller. This one is definitely a stroller for travelers though!
The UPPAbaby G-Link is the much anticipated new double stroller to join the UPPAbaby family. This side-by-side, umbrella-fold stroller sports large, independent canopies, an easy fold, and large, deep reclining seats. Watch our Baby Gizmo sneak peek from the ABC Kids Expo below.
The Summer Infant Evolve will be the first jogging stroller for Summer Infant and will hit the market next summer. It is stocked with features such as a compact fold, adjustable handlebar, large canopy, robust, air-filled tires, suspension and a cool bouncing seat feature. (You have to watch the video to see what I mean about the “bouncing feature”.)
The stroller will retail for $399 and will be available at first in two colors. To get a sneak peek of the new Summer Infant Evolve, watch our video that was LIVE from ABC Kids Expo.
The GB Maris is another new, single stroller from GB that will definitely be a head turner next year with its modern frame and luxury features. The Maris features a roomy, reversible seat, adjustable handle, large basket, big canopy, adjustable footrest and one-step brake. It also features a great FLAT seat recline (not the v-shape that we see on other luxury strollers) and can accommodate a newborn.
While they haven’t released a retail price, we have heard rumbling about it costing in the $700+ range. To see the stroller in action, watch our Baby Gizmo sneak peek below.
While the Mountain Buggy Nano isn’t a new stroller, the 2016 model has been upgraded which makes it a reason to look forward to it in the new year! Here are the changes:
- New FLAT seat recline.
- Now infant compatible when used with the NEW soft-shell cocoon carrycot that can be used directly in the seat. (Must use with the cocoon in order to be infant compatible.)
- New, extendable canopy that has better coverage because the mesh visor was replaced with the same canopy fabric.
- Seat back has a new mesh and solid cover option.
- Back wheel width is slimmer at 21″ (instead of the previous model with 22″)
Britax B-Agile 3 (January 2016)
This is another popular stroller with new and improved features for 2016. The new 2016 B-Agile3 has a more upright seat, updated wheels for better maneuverability, larger basket and a redesigned footrest.
Valco Neo Twin All-Terrain Stroller (Spring/Summer 2016)
The Valco Baby Neo Twin is a new lightweight, all-terrain stroller that is just plain awesome!
The Neo Twin sports 8″ front and 10″ rear air-tires so your baby is going to have a smooth ride no matter where you go. The seat reclines flat which is suitable for newborns and the huge, easy-to-access basket gives you plenty of space for all the things. This stroller also has adjustable footrests, an easy, compact (self-standing) fold and the ever popular HUGE Valco canopies. Weighing it at 27 lbs, this stroller is not only manageable but a great option for parents looking for a good, quality, double stroller. The Valco Baby Neo Twin will be available in Black, Grey Marle, and Denim Blue in Spring/Summer 2016 and pricing has not been released yet.
Peg Perego Book for Two (December 2015)
There is a new double stroller in the Peg Perego family and we think the twin moms are going to love it! It has the ability to accommodate 2 Primo Viaggio Infant Car Seats making it a double travel system, roomy basket and easy fold.
- It takes two car seats. Adapters available for both a single Primo Viaggio or two Primo Viaggios.
- Only 29 inches wide.
- Extra, extra large basket. The huge (and durable) basket has three pockets that also store smaller items.
- Great Wheels. The Book for Two has the Peg Perego Soft Ride wheels made from polyurethane and wide tread.
- Classic Book fold. It’s called the Book for Two for a reason. They’ve equipped it with their unique folding mechanism found in all of their Book family strollers, making it quick and easy to close. Plus it stand on its own.
It’s available now but we included it in our list because it is a new 2016 model! You can purchase it from Amazon.com.
While there are many other new strollers coming in 2016, these are some of our favorites. Stay tuned to the Baby Gizmo Facebook Page and Baby Gizmo YouTube Channel for updates on all the new things new for baby in 2016.
