How Not to Use a Bumbo (VIDEO)

Today’s Baby Gizmo video is keeping it real. Very real. I’ve wanted to do this video for a long time and decided to just get it done. It’s a sort of public service announcement for parents who lack common sense. I told you that I was keeping it real! 🙂

  1. Love it! I have never been a fan of the Bumbo and EVERY time I have seen one in use, it’s being used improperly, either on a counter top or a table!

  2. It’s one of those love it or hate it products that’s for sure. But I had to laugh when you say in your video that you wouldn’t use it to feed your infant in because you don’t feed your kid while laying down on the floor. But then you say that you usually use a high chair or a bouncy seat. So do you put a bouncy seat on the table or counter? Isn’t that the same as putting the Bumbo on the table or counter. Anyways..just something I found amusing. We got a bit of good use out of it. Definitely limited our daughter’s time spent in it but at the same time she LOVED sitting up and hated laying on the floor so we used it a bit before she was able to sit up on her own. I would always alternate between letting her try to sit on her own first to work on her core muscles, and then would let her sit in the bumbo for a while. P.S. why do you always have sunglasses on your head in your videos?

    • My sunglasses are just part of me. It’s like a signature piece that makes me – me! 🙂 I used to wear a sweater vest in every video but I did get rid of that. The sunglasses are here to stay. Let’s just consider them a hair piece and not just sunglasses. 🙂
