I used to think video monitors were silly.

I used to think video monitors were silly and for over protective parents but that is before my husband convinced me to get one with our second child.  We bought the Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor with a 1.8″ screen and it is awesome!  The monitor itself works great.  In the daytime you get a full colored screen and in the nighttime you get a bright easy to see black and white screen.  I had no idea the picture could look so crisp for such a low price.  I expected grainy security type footage but this is above and beyond that technology.  We bought a second camera as well so now using the same monitor we can switch between the two available channels to check on both children.  My favorite thing about the video monitor though is getting to spy on our toddler and find out what it is he really does when he is not sleeping.

Unfortunately after about 11 months of use and getting dropped probably 60 times the monitor screen stopped working.  I emailed Summer Infant and they were just as awesome as their monitor.  They emailed me a shipping label to return my broken monitor and as soon as they received it they sent me a new monitor.  I knew they had a 1 year warranty but nowadays that never seems to mean much but to Summer Infant it still does!

We love our Summer Infant for their excellent customer service and we love the Summer Infant video monitor for the ease of use, clear sound and crisp video.  Be aware if you live in small quarters such as an apartment you may pick up signals from nearby neighbors.
