I’coo Pacific on Shnoop.com today!

A British article came out 2 years ago about parent facing strollers boosting the interaction between parent and child.   There were two parts of the study in which in the first they observed over 2500 families in a public place.  In the second part they closely monitored 20 mothers and found 1 out of 20 forward facing children laughed while 10 out of 20 of the parent facing children laughed.  The study was published by Britain’s National Literacy Trust’s “Talk to your Baby” campaign and can be found here.  If you are expecting a new child whether it be your first or not you will want to check out the new variety of parent-facing strollers.  There are your classic high end strollers like the well known Bugaboo Chameleon and Uppa Baby Vista but there is a whole new market of affordable options for those with a more reasonable budget.

I’coo Pacific is available at Shnoop.com today for $299 with free shipping.  Only two neutral colors are available, stone(beige) and timber(military green).  We haven’t seen the I’coo in person so we do encourage some research before making the plunge but a well built reverse facing stroller for under $300 is hard to pass up.

If the I’coo is not for you or you missed the 8 hour window for the above sale you can check out the strollers below for more affordable options:

First Years Indigo : The most affordable options available.  Does not come with a separate bassinet but does lay flat making this stroller appropriate for newborns.  This stroller features a large basket, removable parent console and a weight limit of 50 lbs.  Check out the link for our full review for this stroller.

First Years Wave : This stroller features a one piece seat that can work as a toddler seat or bassinet making it a great stroller for a newborn to grow into.  Check out our full review to see all the unique and cool features of this stroller.

Kolcraft Contours Options 4 wheeler: Just a few dollars more than the Indigo and similarly does not include a bassinet option.  This stroller is well liked on Amazon and has been around longer then the First Years Indigo.

Bumbleride Flyer: The most expensive of the affordable parent facing strollers but worth every penny.  Bumbleride redesigned the Flyer in 2009 and improved the steering and maneuverability of this stroller.  Features a one handed recline, bumper bar, zip off canopies, rain cover and optional carrycot available.  The biggest difference you will find between bumbleride and the other brands offered is the fabric.  Bumbleride has an easy to clean fabric without the nylon and comes in a wide range of colors to fit every style.
