Let me start by saying this is NOT a sponsored post. I don’t even know anyone over at Cardstore.com or who runs it or anything. I’m just so pleased with my holiday cards this year that I had to tell you about them. Best. Deal. Ever.
Each year I do a holiday cards with photos of the family. Yep, I’m one of those cheesy people! And usually it’s not just the kids but the hubby and I are front and center on the card as well. Gray hair and all! I’ve used a variety of online card companies over the years and have generally been pretty happy. Last week I happened upon a deal on holiday cards that I thought was too good to be true at Cardstore.com.
Cardstore.com has been around for 10 years and I have to say that I honestly had not heard about them until this year. Maybe because they were acquired by American Greeting Corporation in 2010, I don’t know. Let’s just say that they are new to me! Last week they had a Black Friday deal for 70% ALL holiday cards! Seriously, 70% off? Unheard of! Unfortunately, I was at my inlaws on Black Friday and didn’t have access to the family photos on my home computer to make my holiday cards. Booooooo. I will say that I designed my inlaws holiday card for them with the deal and it came to $0.57 a card with free shipping and it was even one of the open cards and not just the postcard type. I was completely bummed I was missing out.
Well, good things come to those who wait because the Cyber Monday deal was even better!! Yep, a better than 70% off deal!! On Cyber Monday they had ALL their cards for $0.49 with FREE SHIPPING no matter which design you picked out or how many you ordered. Outrageous! I had to jump on this deal before time ran out! I chose the greeting card style (the one that opens) and quickly designed my holiday card with 5 photos on front and one inside. Yep, I like myself some family photos! The process was easy and rather quick.
Now, you are probably thinking to yourself…”Sure, Hollie, 49 cents is great but ‘Best. Deal. Ever’? Really?”
Yep! Best. Deal. Ever.
It was the best deal ever because not only did Cardstore.com give me the cards for $0.49 with no minimum order BUT they also gave me free shipping AND free postage!
What? Free postage you ask?
Yes, FREE postage ON MY CARDS!!
All I had to do was type in the addresses that I wanted printed on the front of the envelopes and my return address and the work was done. They addressed the envelopes AND put a stamp on ALL OF THEM! While I could have chosen them to send the cards directly to my recipients, I honestly didn’t believe that for some reason and chose to have the addressed and stamped envelopes with the cards sent to me. I wanted to see this for myself!
They are seriously losing money on my order! They have to be. A US stamp is 44 cents! That leaves only 5 cents left to pay for the card, envelope AND the shipping of the cards. Unbelievable!!
So, I waited for the cards to show up. 4 days later they were at my door! I’m seriously not kidding! I had the package in my hand today (Friday) when I ordered them on Monday afternoon! I opened the box and was seriously giddy that I pretty much got the deal of the holiday season! All the cards looked fabulous (great colors and great paper!) and were separate from the envelopes so that I could add a hand-written message inside if I felt so inclined. The envelopes were professionally printed with the addresses and were each stamped with a STAMP. Not a run it through the mail stamper kind of stamp. A real sticky stamp!
You may have missed the deal of the holiday on Monday with the $0.49 cards but not to worry because they have another great deal going on now. 60% off EVERYTHING + FREE Shipping OR FREE postage with code “CSSAVE605”
*UPDATE: I want to point out that although there was FREE shipping AND FREE postage on Cyber Monday – they have changed that to Free Shipping OR Free Postage since then.
Here is what my cards looked like:
