Jane Trider Stroller Spotlight Review (VIDEO)

Last month we introduced you to the travel-friendly Jane Nanuq. Remember Jane is one of the world’s oldest stroller companies based in Spain that was founded in 1948. They are doing a grand re-launch in the US right now and today we are focusing on the sporty, all-terrain Trider stroller.

This sporty stroller is stocked with great features including adjustable handle, a big canopy, sporty fabric, infant car seat capability and reversible seat with a deep recline.

Jane Trider

The Trider seat is 12″ wide with a 21″ seat back and a measurement from seat back to canopy of 22″. With a 40 lb weight capacity and that shorter seat back to canopy measurement, we think you could fit a 3 – 3 1/2 year old comfortably in the seat. An adjustable, padded, 5-point harness and adjustable leg rest keeps your little rider comfy in the seat. We like that the swing-away, removable baby bumper bar is not covered in foam but a removable, washable material.

The reversible seat is higher up than many other strollers on the market and allows your baby to not only be closer to you but to parent-face or face out at the world. There are three recline positions that are easy to move with the one-handed lever on the back of the seat. That’s right, no strap system on this baby!

We aren’t going to lie, the basket under the seat is pretty darn small. Unless you have one of the world’s smallest diaper bags or a diaper and wipes container, you won’t fit a normal diaper bag down there. Good news though – they include a messenger-style diaper bag that hangs on the handlebar for extra storage. Plus, they included a sporty cup holder for your beverage.

The canopy is a full coverage canopy that has two side windows but no peek-a-boo window on top. The handlebar is adjustable up and down (but not telescoping!) and goes from 32″ – 41″ from ground to handle. You will also find the parking brake on the handlebar to keep the stroller locked into place and your pedicure fabulous.

The Trider sports three, non-puncture, heavy-duty wheels – 12 1/2″ in back and 9 1/2″ in front. The front wheel is a 360 degree swivel wheels with the option to lock it straight for all-terrain.

The suspension and adjustable shock absorbers on the Trider are just awesome. This is a sporty stroller that will charge through all types of terrain with ease and even handle light jogging.

No need to remove the seat while folding the Trider because it all folds down into a nice, neat package. It’s rather compact for an all-terrain stroller but it is on the heavy side weighing it at 29 lbs. Since we like our all-terrain strollers to be a little robust to handle the trails that we throw at them without crumbling under the pressure, the weight doesn’t bother us with the Trider.

Oh, and it has an auto lock and a standing fold! Woot! Woot!

The Jane Trider comes with the cool diaper bag, a rain cover and a cup holder. Sold separately, there is a “link fix” to turn the stroller into a travel system (with a Maxi Cosi Mico, Chicco Keyfit30 and a Graco Snugride 35), a footmuff and a sunshade/umbrella.

Overall, the Jane Trider is an excellent, luxury, 3-wheel stroller that is stocked with features. Of course, it carries a pretty hefty price tag retailing for $790. Yep, this is a luxury stroller and that is the price of luxury on this baby!
