JCPenney Back to School Fashion Haul and Pair Up Program

The summer is flying by and it is almost time to go back to school. As soon as August hits, we are in full back-to-school shopping mode and today we have teamed up with JCPenney to not only show you some really cute BTS fashions but to let you know how you can help give back this month with the Pair Up with JCPenney Program.

Did you know that 40% of those low income parents worry about their child having enough socks and underwear for school?* 46% of parents living in poverty say that underwear is among the hardest to find items at second hand stores, garage sales or through friends and family.* Sure, we all think about homelessness and poverty but we may not think about specifics like kids not wanting to go to school because they are embarrassed by not having basic clothing essentials like socks and underwear. It’s a very sad statistic that a very simple garment that most of us take for granted is getting in the way of some kids’ education.

Take a peek at the new Pair Up with JCPenney Program video with a message that is hard to miss.

JCPenney has teamed up with the YMCA to launch a signature Pair Up program to help those kids in need. From August 1, 2017 to August 15, 2017, for every pack of socks and underwear sold, JCPenney will donate a pack to the Y to give to kids in need, up to 750,000 pairs. In addition to the Pair Up program, the JCPenney Foundation is making a $1M donation to the Y to help close the academic achievement gap.

So, today we are asking that you join us in shopping at JCPenney between August 1 – August 15, for not only all your JCPenney back-to-school fashions, but to also STOCK UP on socks and underwear for the kids as a way to give back with the Pair Up Program.

We headed to JCPenney for some back to middle school shopping with Savannah and found some great fashions that were affordable so mom was happy and on-trend so our soon-to-be 7th grader was happy too.

Savannah was so happy to help out with the Pair Up Program and excited about her new clothes, that she did a back-to-school haul video.

We, of course, stocked up on socks and underwear for the kids first.

Then, she was all about the fashion! She found the cutest unicorn t-shirt by Total Girl that was on-trend with the two-way sequins and perfectly matched with a simple, black, Total Girl skirt.

When she added another adorable Total Girl t-shirt to the black skirt, she had a whole new look.

Since Savannah is super sporty, we headed to the athletic section to grab some cute fashions for her Fall tennis and soccer practices.

When we paired the Xersion black capri leggings (which were on sale for only $7.99) with a sporty, quick-dri tank top, Savannah was ready for the tennis courts.

North Carolina can get a bit chilly in the late Fall so we grabbed a cute grey sweatshirt by Xersion to layer with the tank.

If you know anything about Savannah, she is a #GirlBoss in her own right so this t-shirt from Xersion was perfection!

And when you pair it with a pair of athletic shorts, we were able to create quite a few athletic looks for a super great value.

Overall, our JCPenney back-to-school shopping trip was a huge success. Savannah is ready for Fall sports, picked up two cute outfits and we even helps JCP and the Y give to kids in needs with our purchases of a bunch of packs of socks and underwear.

Please don’t forget to head to JCPenney before August 15, 2017 so that you can also help with the JCPenney Pair Up Program. Find out more about the JCP Pair Up Program HERE.
