Fancy Apple Water

I’ve got a parenting faux pas to confess — my daughter loves juice.

It’s not the end of the world, obviously, but I do regret introducing juice when I did. We’ve been slowly cutting back and I’ve been promoting water to help her stay hydrated during these warmer months, but girlfriend thinks water is lame compared to her beloved juice.

Recently, we hit a goldmine though … fancy water! That’s right, when we finish a cup of regular water, we fill up with a cup of fancy water. What’s that, you ask? Let me tell you …

Fancy water starts with an ice cube tray of frozen apple juice (or grape or cranberry … whatever sounds best!). Once it’s solid, we pop out 3-4 juice cubes and add them to a pint mason jar, fill it with cold water and slowly sip as it melts. It’s a big hit!

Simple, easy and a perfect compromise for my juice loving girl!

P.S. We’re loving these lid/straw combos! Available on Amazon and I’ve seen them at Target too!
