Kidkraft Chelsea Wooden Dollhouse Play Cottage Review

I am so excited to review this adorable doll house my daughter received for Christmas this year! The Kidkraft Chelsea Dollhouse Play Cottage is just absolutely precious. This dollhouse is perfect for a young girl to play and grow with.

My daughter is 15 months old and is, admittedly, a little young for this dollhouse. I knew that before purchasing it. However, I wanted to find one that she could grow into. Quality was very important to me, as I envisioned this dollhouse sticking around our home for years.

The Kidkraft Chelsea Dollhouse Play Cottage is high quality – it is mostly wood or MDF material. The assembly process wasn’t too bad. The step-by-step instructions were very clear, and I was quite impressed and appreciative to find the parts individually labeled and sorted. I didn’t time myself, but it took less than two hours to assemble. This probably isn’t an accurate assembly time, as my husband and I were watching a movie as I put it together.

This particular dollhouse is three levels – large, but not intimidatingly so! It is 29 inches tall,  so my daughter can easily access all levels, while my son (3.5 years old) kneels at it with no problems.

The dollhouse comes with 17 pieces of furniture that are all adorable. These include a grand piano, bunk beds, refrigerator, patio umbrella, and bathtub. Each room is adorably decorated – the decor reminds me of “shabby chic,” which totally works for a cottage.

The dollhouse cottage does not include any dolls, so you will have to purchase them separately. This particular dollhouse accommodates 4 inch dolls (NOT Barbie size) – my daughter has this particular set. They fit within the furniture perfectly.

The Kidkraft Chelsea Dollhouse Play Cottage currently retails for $79.99 at Target.
