Thermos L.L.C has recently launched Thermos Foogo Phases, a new line of drinkware products for infants and toddlers.
“Thermos L.L.C., has taken its commitment to providing convenient drinkware options to the next level with the launch of Thermos Foogo Phases, a new line of sippy cups and straw bottles for infants and toddlers that allows parents to easily customize the drink cups to their child’s changing developmental needs. Offering BPA-free drink cups in double wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel and Eastman Tritan plastic, Thermos Foogo Phases features an interchangeable lid and body system providing up to 24 possible drinkware combinations.”
The stainless steel and Tritan drink cup bodies in the line feature three interchangeable lid types: a soft sippy spout, hard sippy spout and a push button straw. Each spout is designed specifically for the development phase of the child.
Phase 1: Since this soft sippy spout is comfortable on gums and has a leak-proof valve, it’s a perfect first sippy cup for babies 6+ months! The cup comes with removable handles to provide an easy grip for baby and the entire 7 oz. cup is dishwasher safe.
Phase 2: When your baby gets a bit older her cup needs will change. Phase 2 includes the hard chew resistant sippy spout, a leak-proof valve and is recommended for 12+ months. The 11 oz. cup also has a contoured body for an easy grip and is dishwasher safe.
Phase 3: When your baby is becoming a toddler, she may be ready to dump the sippy cup. Phase 3 has a hygienic push button lid with pop-up silicone straw which is very popular with toddlers 18+ months. The body of this 11 oz cup is contoured for an easy grip and is again dishwasher safe.
One of the features that I like the best about these sippy cups is that the “leak-proof valve” is actually really leak-proof. Many other sippy cups try to claim that they are “leak-proof” as the cup leaks milk all over my house, car or in my diaper bag when the cup tips over. My son put Foogo Phases to his toddler test by shaking the cups upside down to try to get milk to shake out. (He likes this game. Me? Not so much!) I am happy to say that the milk stayed in the cup!
All the cups in the Foogo Phases come in either vacuum-insulated stainless steel or in plastic.
Stainless Steel Option: The stainless steel option has TherMax vaccum insulation to keep drinks cold and fresh up to 6-10 hours depending on the model. I love this option because I don’t have to worry about my toddler’s milk spoiling in his sippy cup when we are out running errands for the day. This helps to eliminate the half full cups of milk that I throw away everyday since the milk was left in the sippy for a few hours. Note: Since it is stainless steel, it will be a bit heavier than your typical sippy cup.
Plastic Option: The plastic cup option is made from BPA free, impact-resistant and dishwasher durable Eastman Tritan copolyester. These plastic cups are super clear, lightweight and very easy to clean.
