Yes, we know you are all waiting for theUPPAbaby Cruz! We’ve all been waiting patiently as the release date was pushed but we are happy to report that the Cruz should be available in November (fingers crossed!).
The UPPAbaby Cruz is a more compact version of the VISTA. While it has the same size seat, the frame will be a bit narrower at 21″. It has smaller wheels than the VISTA but still sports suspension for a bit of off-roading. The seat is reversible, canopy has two positions for a growing child, easy one-step fold, telescoping handle, large basket and optional infant car seat adapter round out this baby. The Cruz won’t take a bassinet but will accept an infant car seat or a newborn in the flat seat with an UPPAbaby Snugseat.
Changes to the VISTA 2012
Vista 2011s are starting to go on sale so we bet you want to know what changes are being made to the 2012. First, there is a new color: Drew (tangerine). Orange isn’t usually our go-to color but we are a BIG fan of this Vista in orange!! The orange will only be sold at a select number of retailers.
Black frames are hot for 2012 and UPPAbaby is offering that to you as well! The new Drew (orange) and Jake (black) will come with black frames. The black frames look very chic! All the other VISTAs will remain with silver frames.
The bassinet canopies will now have a mesh panel to allow air to circulate through and mesh will be added to the bassinet canopy to add even more venilation.
Other changes to the VISTA 2012:
- The sun canopy will be height adjustable to give your growing child 1 1/2 more inches of headroom.
- New front suspension is added.
- Deeper recline
- The sold separately cup holder has been redesigned.
UPPAbaby VISTA will retail for $699 and be available in Feb. 2012. Since the 2011s are on sale for $499 this weekend – do you think the changes are worth $200 to wait?
If not – here is the link to the VISTA sale again (use code: VISTA499): UPPAbaby Vista 2011 for $499 (Good only Oct. 1-2)
