Did you buy a Happy Meal or a Mighty Kids Meal  from McDonald’s for your child from August 9, 2016 to August 17, 2016? If the meal came with a STEP-iT Activity tracker, the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning that they may cause burns to your child’s wrist!

After more than 70 complaints, McDonald’s is issuing the recall stating that “the recalled wristbands can cause skin irritation or burns to children.”

This happened to Casey Collyar‘s son, and she posted the following on Facebook,

“If your kids have this happy meal toy do not let them play with it. Cason has a burn after playing with the toy for about 8 minutes. The toy has a red light in it that is powered by the battery on the back that possibly is the cause of the burn.”

Consumers should immediately take the recalled wristbands from children and return them to any McDonald’s for a free replacement toy and either a yogurt tube or bag of apple slices.
