Review: Fisher Price Bandstand Play Gym

There’s nothing like a good play gym to watch your baby roll over on, and for them to practice their fine motor skill as they try to touch hanging toys. We were recently gifted this Fisher Price Bandstand Play Gym, and it is a huge hit with our three month old!

Review: Fisher Price Bandstand Play GymThe mat is very bright, measures 26.5 x 21 inches, and comes in a band theme, so it’s all about the music! There are three sensor pads under the circled trumpet, drum and guitar pictures on the pad, that (depending on which setting you choose) play a sound or a song when baby touches or kicks them. This is actually my 4 and 6 year olds favorite feature, and they rush over to turn the music on “for the baby.” Sure… It comes with 2 AA batteries already installed, and my favorite thing is that there is an off button if you are tired and can’t handle any more noise like some parents (me).

Our little one also loves the small round mirror that you can slide across mat, or remove and velcro somewhere else entirely!

It folds up very easily so you can take it to grandma’s and once your baby is sitting you can even remove the arches and let them play their own music! This means it will last longer than just the newborn/infant phase. It currently retails for $28.30 and is a great gift idea for a new baby.
