Review: Melissa and Doug Fashion Design Activity Kit

I don’t know many mamas who aren’t huge fans of Melissa & Doug products. This company is just full of fabulous toys that last for ages and have tons of learning opportunities. Our most recent favorite is the Melissa & Doug Fashion Design Activity Kit. You may recognize something similar from your own childhood – I know I had one like it! I know I spent many hours “designing” and now my daughter gets to do the same! melissa and dough fashion design kit

This is what we love about the Melissa & Dough Fashion Design Activity Kit …

All the pieces fold up into one, compact carrying case that fit paper, rubbing plates, crayons and colored pencils. This snap and go style makes it wonderful for traveling too!

Unlike coloring books, this kit allows kids to create their own design before coloring! Everyone’s design turns out unique, just like them!

One of my quests with toys and activities is the longevity of them. How long will my kids be excited to play with X, Y or Z. My daughter is currently 4 and this is one of her favorite toys to bring out after nap time. It’s technically for 5+, but I can see her loving this until 8, 9 and 10 years old. Basically, we’ll be loving it for a long time!

My only critique? We wish there was a booster pack for some more rubbing plates! And perhaps some boy options too! There is this, which will most likely make it onto my daughter’s birthday wish list 🙂 Gotta keep creating!
