Sh*t Parents Say at Back to School Time (VIDEO)

Instead of “How to Monday” this week, we are going to have a little fun with the back-to-school craziness that is upon us! This time of year can be wonderful, amazing, and upsetting depending on you as a parent. No matter how your back-to-school experience is going, if you have a school aged child, you probably find yourself saying quite a few things lately. Whether it is about the other mom at the bus stop, the craziness of back-to-school shopping or just about the fact that it is time for the kids TO GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE, parents are talking! And if you are listening, they have quite a bit to say!

Here are some of the things you may hear…

This was great! I love the Mom who wanted to drop her kids off early!

I’m a single mom without a lot of money, but we live in a very wealthy school district. Every year at this time you can hear me saying, “They want me to buy WHAT for your class?!?!” This year my 6th grader’s school supplies list includes – I am not making this up – $250 for a field trip so the kids can bond and an iPad.

I wave and tell them happily “bye guys! See you later.” One more year before my youngest starts kindergarten so it will be a bittersweet year. In the mornings, I will be trying to sleep in just 5 more minutes too. Helpful hint: put clothes on table, shoes on backpack, and lunches in the fridge the night before so the kids will change after waking up

I’m a homeschooling Momma, and when we were getting ready to start this year my most used comment was, “how am I gonna get it all worked out and not be Crazy?” well I still don’t have the answer to that but it will be a great year.
