Splish, splash…summer swimwear they’ll want to wear!

The countdown is officially on since the first day of summer is only 43 days away but surely the weather between now and then will lend you a chance to enjoy a day by the pool, at the beach or the community splash pad. Don’t make the same mistake I did last year when foolishly I thought the same bathing suits from the year before would fit them again. Not a chance. Not only were they a little too small but with all the wear and tear they get through the summer, the bottom fabric was rubbed nubbly from the pool steps and it just didn’t hold the same shape as it was supposed to. After I realized all of this in early June, most of the bathing suits were already sold out — true story.

This year, we’re much more prepared for the anticipation of sunny summer days so here’s a look at my picks for great swimsuits that will last you through the summer and hopefully, a little bit longer than ours did last year!

  1. Target and Costco have great rash guard tops for both boys and girls. They even have UVA protection in the fabric to protect our little ones even more! You know how difficult it is to apply sunscreen to a wiggly toddler, I need all help I can get!
