Spotlight Product Review: Blankyclip

blankyI am always on the lookout for fun, new products that will make great gifts and a new mom’s life a little easier.  Blankclip is one of those products!  Blankyclip is a plush animal that doubles as a loose-tension fastening device strong enough to hold a blanket, but gentle enough not to clamp down on tiny fingers.

We’ve all been there.  You are taking a stroll with your baby and you watch in horror as your baby’s blanket falls off the stroller into a mud puddle.  Okay, maybe not a mud puddle but definitely on the dirty street or floor.  No matter how many times you try to stuff, wrap or tie the blanket around the frame of the stroller, it still seems to break loose and plummet to the ground.  Or in my case living in the Windy City, the wind always takes hold of the blanket blowing it across the street or onto the ground to get caught under the dirty stroller wheels!

Momprenuer, Adrienne Alitowski, had the same problem but she did something about it.  She created the Blankyclip.  It is a clip in the form of a cuddly character that is specifically designed to effortlessly hold blankets onto strollers, bouncy seats, swings and more.  The Blankclip is available in three adorable characters:  a white sheep, a yellow duck and a brown bear.  We tried out the cute bears and my two year old immediately wanted to hold and play with the toys.  He wouldn’t let me attach them to his brother’s stroller without him checking them out first.  Like the company claims, we are pleased to say that these clips are padded and gentle enough not to clamp down on tiny fingers.  So, they don’t hurt little fingers but do they hold a blanket on the stroller?  In one word, yes!  We took the two clips and were able to attach a blanket to the stroller easily and it stayed put.  The clips even worked on the top of our stroller bassinet to keep the sun from shining in on our little sleeper.  The clips also worked on our swing and bouncy seat to prevent the baby from kicking the blanket off.

The clips are about 5 1/2 inches long and come in sets of two with a coordinating baby blanket.  The included baby blanket is large (30×40 inches) and super soft.  The clips and blanket are packaged with a satin ribbon making the set a perfect gift.  The set retails for $48 and for more information visit
