10 Toddler Sun Hats Your Kids Will Want to Wear!

If your kids are anything like mine, then they want to be outside from sunup to sundown. While I’m typically happy to oblige, I try to take plenty of precautions when it comes to sun exposure. My crew is always lathered up in sunscreen and bug spray, but sometimes I worry I can do more. Luckily, a big ol’ hat helps! My ~4 year old loves to wear hats – unfortunately, my 20 month old not so much. But we’re working on her! Here’s a roundup of 10 great sun hats for toddlers your kids will want to wear!

Most of the hats below have UPF 50+ ratings, which helps block the UV rays from the sun. Not all have a chin strap, either. That may make or break a hat for you – especially if your child is like my daughter! She still yanks off most hats. I specifically look for a chin strap for her, while my older son doesn’t need one anymore. He just likes to look cool 🙂

Tom and Lauren Tate met each other in college and fell in love (there may or may not have been alcohol involved). Years later, they got married, had a baby and now live happily in Southeastern PA with their little boy. Lauren manages the home, while Tom manages projects at a software company. While their interests range from cooking and working out (her) and playing guitar and video games (him), together they manage to maintain a blog, Little Old Home (www.littleoldhome.com).
