Have a spring or summer baby on the way? There are many new products coming soon that we know you’ll be excited about. We are! From new strollers and diaper bags to car seats and high chairs, here are a few of our favorite upcoming 2009 products.
Uppa Baby Rumbleseat
We are super excited that Uppa Baby is coming out with their Rumbleseat this spring which allows you to convert your VISTA stroller into a compact rear-facing tandem. This all-aluminum frame seat, complete with 5-point harness, will attach in seconds to all 2009 Uppa Baby Vista Strollers. The Rumbleseat will be available in early spring 2009.
Peg Perego Si
The Si Stroller is a new lightweight (only 12 lbs) stroller that is not only easy to fold but can accommodate a car seat. Sporting adjustable handles, a cup holder, and a large basket, the Si will be a great on-the-go stroller. The great compact fold can be done one-handed and even stands alone when folded. The Si will be available in March 2009.
BabyMel X2 Diaper Bag
For Spring 09, they have introduced a great new diaper bag for moms of more than one child or twins. The BabyMel X2 is a brand new concept from BabyMel that is comprised of two separate bags which can be clipped together or separated as needed. The Baby Mel X2 is available now!
Baby Jogger Double Car Seat Adapter
Ever wonder why the Baby Jogger double strollers are not compatible with infant car seats? Well, Baby Jogger was listening and has designed a great adapter that will work on all their 2008 & 2009 double strollers. This patented adapter is positioned on a locking slide to prevent tipping when only the car seat is in use. This great car seat adapter is available now!
iCandy Pear Stroller
We are very excited about the iCandy Pear! The Pear is a luxury tandem stroller system that offers over twenty combinations for either twins or a newborn and older child (up to 3 years old). This system is suitable from birth in the carrycot mode or with the Maxi Cosi car seat adapters. The Pear has fully independently reclining seats in forward or rear facing modes. It also has a large basket, large rear air-filled tires, all-around suspension and an adjustable handlebar with 7 positions. We also love that you aren’t confined to a double stroller with the Pear because it can be used as a single stroller at any time. That is a great option for when our older toddlers get too big for the stroller but our younger one still needs a ride. The iCandy Pear frame can even accept two Maxi-Cosi infant car seats at the same time to make it a double travel system. (Extra set of upper car seat adapters required and are sold separately)
Peg Perego Tatamia
The Tatamia is a multipurpose baby seat that can be used from the moment baby comes home from the hospital. It is a very functional 3-in-1 product that was designed and built to be used from birth through the toddler years. It’s a comfortable, height-adjustable recliner, a soothing, relaxing swing AND a high chair! Plus, it folds down into an extremely compact unit for storage. We can’t wait to review this innovative seat when it comes out in March 2009. It looks great and we love that it’s three products in one!
Maclaren Grand Tour LX
Maclaren announced their upcoming full size luxury stroller, the Grand Tour LX. Loved for their super popular lightweight strollers, this is sure to be a hit with many moms. The Grand Tour LX was designed to be the all-in-one stroller solution to parents’ needs, featuring a reversible seat, a removable carry cot, and car seat compatibilty. A great feature of the Grand Tour is the ability to fold up the stroller quickly and easily with one hand without having to disassemble anything. The Grand Tour will be available in March 2009.
The 4Moms Origami is the first power folding stroller. With the push of a button (on the handlebar display), the Origami stroller goes from fully sized when open to super compact when closed. The stroller relies on motors to do the work. It’s so fun and easy to use plus it’s eco-friendly, with a built in generator that recharges itself with every 300 feet of use. So, you don’t have to plug it in or change batteries – it actually recharges as you walk. It’s crazy fun! Plus, speaking of eco-friendly, 90% of the Origami is recyclable. The original release date of January 2009 was pushed to October 2009.
Bumbleride is expecting a new addition to their family of strollers in 2009. This addition will weigh in at 12 lbs and be Bumbleride’s first lightweight stroller. The “Flite” will be the name and they are expecting it to arrive in May 2009.
Clek will be launching its first full back booster seat, Oobr. The Oobr features LATCH installation, an adjustable headrest and a drink holder. To keep kids safe, Oobr’s removable back frame is crafted of magnesium for maximum protection in the event of a collision. Of course, Oobr’s headrest offers deep side wings for head protection, and energy-absorbing foam is used as well, resulting in less force transferred should a vehicle accident occur. Oobr can also convert to a backless booster car seat.
The Oobr accommodates a child between 38-57 inches tall and 33-100 pounds. Remove he back and you’ll have a suitable booster for kids between 40-57 inches who weigh 40-100 pounds. Oobr will arrive in Spring 2009.
Joovy Ergo Caboose
Joovy has improved our beloved Caboose by introducing the Joovy Ergo Caboose. There are many great changes that Joovy made! First, the infant car seat can attach to the rear of the stroller allowing the older child to sit in the front. Love this!! There is a new multi-functional sun canopy that gives mom 5 shading options including shading the rear seated passenger. The swing away front tray/2 removable cup holders are new along with a flip open rear seat that allows easier access to the giant basket. The pneumatic rear wheels provide a smoother ride and the new ergonomically engineered front seat for greater comfort for your child. The Joovy Ergo Caboose will be available March 1, 2009!
