How to make Mini Apple Pies for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 apples cored, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 2 pie crusts refrigerated
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Place apples in a bowl and toss with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Melt butter in a pan and add apples cook for 10 minutes until soft.
  • While the apples are cooking cut out the pie crust.
  • Roll out the pie dough and using a small bowl cut out eight circles.
  • Fill each pie circle with 1 teaspoon of apple pie filling and seal the edges with a fork to close the crust.
  • Beat egg in separate bowl with 1 tablespoon of water to make "egg wash".
  • Brush dough with egg wash and bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
