Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 pkgs hot cocoa mix NOT SUGAR FREE
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Kraft Mallow Bits

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix butter and sugars in large bowl with stand mixer or hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  • In a separate bowl combine all the dry ingredients. Gradually add in dry ingredients into butter mixture until completely. Carefully stir in chocolate chips and MallowBits.
  • Drop 1-2 tablespoons of cookie dough onto baking sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes; remove to cooling racks and cool.

Notes

  • Like I said, no need to chill this recipe. I find that the hot chocolate cookies come out perfectly if you don't chill the dough. You can if you want to though. You do you.
  • DO NOT USE SUGAR FREE HOT COCOA MIX! This is a very important as the sugar free mix will change the taste of the cookies and not in a good way.
  • Carefully stir the Mallow Bits into the dough as not to crush them.
  • If you can't find the Kraft Mallow Bits at Target or Walmart, just substitute for either these Coffee Topping Dehydrated Marshmallows or these Dehydrated Marshmallows.
