Monster Cookies aren’t new but they are delicious. It’s a peanut butter and oatmeal based cookie chock full of M&Ms and chocolate chunks. What’s not good about that, right? I make my monster cookies a little different than others. It’s just a different combination of ingredients and while some people don’t use flour in their Monster Cookies, I do. I also put just a bit of corn syrup which is like a secret ingredient.

My kids love these cookies because they have chocolate candy in them and I love them because if you eat them warm with a scoop of ice cream, they taste like a combination of a cookie and a oatmeal cobbler. They are just fantastic.

Normally, Monster Cookies are huge (hence the name!), but don’t worry, you can still make smaller, bite-sized ones. If you are looking to make some cookies but just can’t decide if you want make peanut butter, oatmeal or chocolate chip cookies, just have it all with a Monster Cookie.

  • 1/2 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Corn Syrup
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 – 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 – 1/2 Cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 2 – 1/4 Cups Quick Oatmeal
  • 1 Cup Mini M&Ms
  • 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks

Preparation:

1. Blend butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a mixer. Add eggs, vanilla, corn syrup and peanut butter and blend until combined.

2. Add baking powder, baking soda, oatmeal and flour and mix well until everything is well blended.

3. Stir in M&Ms and chocolate chips.

4. Using a cookie scoop (or just a spoon!) scoop dough into balls (about 1″) on a cookie sheet about 2″ apart. Just slightly flatten dough balls.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-11 minutes until lightly brown. If you make larger cookies, they will need to cook longer (11-14 mins). Cool slightly on the pan for 3-5 minutes. Remove from pan and enjoy.
