Growing up, my mom was the queen of lunchbox notes. She didn’t send them every day, honestly, sometimes there were weeks between notes, but what matters is that she sent them. And when she did, my whole day felt extra special.
Now with kids of my own I make it a point to leave them little notes here and there. For my 4 year old, I draw pictures and hearts, and for my almost 6 year old, I’m becoming a pro at short little phonetic sentences that convey my love.
Lunchbox notes offer that extra sprinkle of happiness. So, why not write up a few and send them in your kiddo’s lunches every now and then?
