Contours Bitsy Double Stroller Review

Sharing is caring!

Ever since Contours debuted their super popular, lightweight, travel stroller, the Bitsy, parents everywhere have been waiting for a double version so that they could travel with two kids. Creating a great lightweight, double stroller that is easy to fold, accommodates an infant car seat and has roomy seats for two kids isn’t an easy feat but Contours has done it!

Introducing the Contours Bitsy Double Stroller.

Just as Contours likes to say, this stroller is “small but MIGHTY x2”! It’s agile, versatile and compact! We are showing it to you just in time for the big travel season of Spring Break and summer vacations.

Contours Bitsy Double Stroller

The Bitsy Double stroller features two roomy seats that each measure 14″ wide with a 17 1/2″ seatback and a measurement of 25″ from back of seat to canopy. The flat seat measurement (where the child’s bum goes!) is 8″.  There is a 10″ leg drop from where the seat breaks in front to the foot rest. (Watch our full video if you are confused with any of these measurements.)

Each seat has an adjustable, padded, 5-point harness for safety, an adjustable calf rest and a recline that is suitable for 6 months and up. (Not to worry, if you want to use the stroller with a newborn, it accommodates an infant car seat but we’ll get to that later.)

I love that there are individual canopies on the Bitsy Double because we all know that kids are different and one may want the canopy open while the other rider wants theirs closed. The UPF 50+ canopies feature a pop-out sun visor to give good sun protection and each features a mesh, peek-a-boo window.

There is a one piece, foam handlebar (which we think is easier to maneuver a stroller one handed with vs having two side handles) that is taller at 40″ from ground to handle height.

There are two baskets underneath the seats that can accommodate a small to medium sized diaper bag or a bunch of loose baby essentials. It’s easiest to get into the baskets from the rear of the stroller.

The stroller rolls on three 5″ wheels in the front and two 5 1/2″ wheels in the rear. They are smooth, hard rubber wheels that are best on smooth surfaces and for everyday use. (Read: This is NOT an all-terrain or jogging stroller and that isn’t what it was designed to be.) A one-step, flip-flop friendly brake locks both rear wheels into place with just one step and unlocks them with a step as well.

Double stroller

The one-handed fold is one of the best features of the Bitsy Double stroller. It folds down quickly and easily into a flat, compact (for a double stroller!) package.

A handy carry handle allows the stroller to be transported easily, and weighing in at only 24 lbs, makes lifting and carrying it a breeze.

Travel system?? Yep, the Bitsy Double does that too! The stroller accommodates one infant car seat (it is compatible with over 15 different ones!) and no additional car seat adapter is required! This way, you can use the stroller with a newborn and an older child (over 6 months). Have twins? No problem. Put one in an infant car seat on one side, babywear the other baby and use the second seat to store all your bags and packages for easy access for the first 6 months. Once the babies are over 6 months, they can both ride in the seats.

The Bitsy double stroller is a fantastic lightweight, travel stroller that has some great features such as large canopies, roomy seats and easy fold for on the go. It doesn’t come with a baby bumper bar or cup holders but something has to give for such a compact, easy to fold double stroller that only costs $349. The Bitsy Double Stroller is available now in two colors: Midnight and Granite Grey. You can purchase the Bitsy Double HERE on
