Christmas time means lots of decorations going up! My mom is famous for her Christmas decorations and every year I swear her house looks like a winter wonderland. Complete with a Christmas tree, garlands, wreaths, nativity scenes, you name it and she has it up in her house for the holiday season! Today I wanted to share some festive and easy-to-make Christmas decoration ideas for your home. Get the children involved for added fun!
Christmas Felt Garland. I love this tutorial for a festive felt garland for your home from Whipper Berry. Felt garlands are fairly easy to make and the best part is that they’ll look great all year round!
Framed Jingle Bells. This simple DIY idea from A Diamond In The Stuff is as easy as getting a frame and jingle bells and putting the two together! A modern take on a wreath and perfect for your front door!
Cinnamon Stick Wreath. All you need for this fun idea from My Home Ideas are cinnamon sticks, a wreath ring, and glue! Tie a ribbon on top to complete the look!
DIY Candles. This glitzy and glamorous idea from Brunch At Saks would be perfect for Christmas time! Use red and green glitter for an extra festive look.
Tassel Garland. This fabulous tutorial from Pizzazzerie shows you how to make a tassel garland from tissue paper. These babies can be a bit of hard work, but the finished product is totally worth it! String these around your house, above the fireplace, or anywhere you want to add a pop of Christmas flair.
Christmas Ornament Wreath. This wreath idea from Six Sisters Stuff is said to only cost $6 to make! Now that’s an inexpensive craft I love! This beautiful wreath is made from ornament bulbs, can be done in any color arrangement, and is the perfect welcoming item to hang on your front door this holiday season.
Mason Jar Lights. This clever idea from Her Campus is one I definitely want to create this year. Simply fill mason jars or glass bowls with Christmas lights and you’ve got yourself a pretty little festive item to put out on display! I think these would be so pretty with red and green lights in them too.
Christmas Card Display. Don’t just toss the Christmas cards you get in an old box this year. Use this idea from Family Life In LV and have a great designated space for your Christmas cards to proudly sit on display!
