It’s so COLD in so many areas of the country this week that I thought I would share one of my go-to cold winter night dinners with you! This one is so easy (CROCKPOT!) and is HEALTHY!! It’s Heathy Sweet Potato Turkey Chili and it’s delicious!
My family loves chili. It’s one of those often requested dinners that my kids would have every single week if I made it. Sometimes I like to switch things up and make a different kind of chili. That’s where my turkey chili comes in. It’s healthier and includes my favorite sweet potatoes.
TURKEY CHILI INGREDIENTS:
20 oz Ground Turkey
1/2 yellow onion (chopped)
1 yellow pepper (chopped)
1 zucchini (chopped)
1 large sweet potato (cubed and chopped)
1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
14 oz can diced tomatoes
14oz can tomato sauce
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
DIRECTIONS:
- Brown the ground turkey.
- Add the ground turkey and all other ingredients into a slow cooker (Crockpot).
- Stir.
- Cook in slow cooker on low for 8 hours or on high for 6 hours.
- Stir. Enjoy.
