My Curly Hair’s New Best Friend – Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer

Sharing is caring!

I have had unruly, curly hair my entire life. Before I discovered hair product, the teacher used to joke that I had a lions mane in 6th grade. Just what an awkward tween girl wants to hear, right?

In college, I finally figured out how to straighten my curly locks with a blow dryer, flat iron and a big round brush. When my hair was long this process took about an hour, and when it was short, I could cut it down to 45 minutes. Either way, it was a time suck if I wanted my hair straight. I am lucky enough that with the texture of my thick, curly hair that I can wear it straight or curly but it is definitely a time commitment if I want to straighten it.

For the next 20 years, I’ve used the same process to straighten my hair because frankly I like what it looks like straight. Sure I wear it curly too but when it’s straight, I know exactly what it will look like and how to deal with it. Curly hair does whatever the hell curly hair wants to do. You have no control.

So, last year when I heard rumbles of this new, budget-friendly “one-step” hair dryer (Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush), I thought it was too good to be true. I have super THICK, CURLY hair, I knew there would be no way that it would work on me. Plus, all the videos and “reviews” of this one-step hair dryer were done by girls which semi-wavy hair. Not the same, ladies! So, I didn’t try it. I just didn’t believe it.

Until 2020. This is the year I was going to live my best life and if that means trying new things, I’m going to do it dammit. I’m going to finally try the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush. Okay, I’m getting a little dramatic about a hair dryer but if you only knew…

This changed my life.

Seriously, I’m mad that I didn’t try it sooner because I don’t think I’ll ever go back to my blow dryer, flat iron and round brush routine again. The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush has not only cut the time it takes to blow out my hair to less than HALF the time it used to take but it’s EASY TO USE and leaves my hair super shiny.

I know you are reading this and doubting every word I say because you just realized that the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush is only $35. Nothing that cheap would ever work especially when Dyson and Dry Bar are selling hair dryers for $300-$500, right?

WRONG.

To prove it to you, I made a video with a time lapse of how the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush works. I start with my crazy, curly hair and within 14 minutes (2 1/2 min in time lapse!), you’ll see what it does to my hair.

Are you a believer now? If you have curly hair and appreciate a fast blow out, you need this product.

You’re welcome.

To get the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush you can order one on Amazon and usually get it the next day.
