Review: Scout Daddy Diaper Bag

This just in- diaper bags aren’t just for moms. If you think about it, there are probably plenty of times that your husband is with your baby when you aren’t. And if your husband is like mine, he isn’t totally thrilled with carrying around a frilly diaper bag. Good thing for my husband (and yours) companies like Petunia Pickle Bottom make a whole line of diaper bags for dads! The Scout line of diaper bags is made especially for the fashion forward, cool dad, and in my opinion, would be totally appropriate for mom to carry, too! Today I wanted to review the Scout Journey Pack for you because I think daddy diaper bags get overlooked a lot. If you’re in the market for a new diaper bag for a man in your life, this is a winner and I think you’re going to love it. Let’s take a look!

20130323-075502.jpgThe Scout Journey Pack is made from an easy to clean, wipeable felt material. It can easily be washed with soap and water and left to air dry. The material and overall outside look just screams “cool” to me. The thing I like most about this bag, and something I think all dads will appreciate, is that no one would ever look at this bag and guess diaper bag. In my opinion, it looks just like a messenger computer or work bag, and the guys in my life LOVE that.

20130323-075510.jpgThe Scout Journey pack comes with a cool monogrammed wipes case and a changing pad- basically all the extra essentials dad needs. Once the diaper bag years are over, dad can easily remove these items and use the bag as a work bag or something other than diapers. Your money will definitely stretch with this bag because you’ll have a reason to use it for years and years. There are 2 interior pockets and 1 large interior magnetic snap pocket. There’s also a bottle pocket inside, too.

20130323-075518.jpgThe back of the bag is simple and flat, making carrying comfortable. This bag has one long strap so you can wear it over the shoulder or messenger style.

20130323-075526.jpgEach side of the bag has a bottle pocket that you can use for yes, bottles, or other items like your cell phone.

20130323-075534.jpgThe Scout Journey Pack is a great option for any Dad who plans on needing to carry baby items with him from time to time and doesn’t want to use his wife’s bag or a grocery bag. This bag is functional, cool, and comes with everything a dad needs to quickly take care of diapering. This bag retails for $155 and will last long after your children are out of diapers. If you’re a mom reading this right now and like the look of the bag, don’t let “daddy diaper bag” scare you off. I know plenty of women who carry this as their main diaper bag and love it! Happy diaper bag shopping! I hope this gave you some new ideas and a good look at this bag!

Nice bag I’m so glad I bought it It has a lot of separate spaces for bottles, diapers, etc. It is durable and roomy

Nice bag, not sure it’s worth 155 dollars though. I prefer the DadGear backpack. It’s not as stylish, obviously, but it’s a lot more functional.

This is a great-styled bag. The Scout bags are still on Amazon, but the other week Petunia announced that, along with their new handbag collection, they are introducing the Sons of Trade line. This will be the mens’ collection, but with an amazing rebrand! http://www.sonsoftrade.com/ Looks awesome and launches May 1st!
