Tiny But Mighty: Is the Evenflo Hummingbird the Best Travel Stroller Out There?

Sharing is caring!

If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the hunt for baby gear that’s lightweight, easy to use, and doesn’t take up your whole trunk — and that’s exactly what caught my attention with the Evenflo Hummingbird stroller. When busy moms are juggling naps, errands, and snack emergencies, they need a compact, lightweight stroller that can keep up. Spoiler alert: this little stroller has some big perks!

One of the first things I noticed — and loved — about the Hummingbird is how lightweight it is. This thing weighs just 9 pounds, which is honestly amazing. It’s one of the lightest strollers out there, so for those who are constantly hauling a diaper bag, a toddler, and 15 random snacks, every pound matters. It also folds up super easily with just one hand — seriously, you just press a button on the handle and it folds down flat. That’s a lifesaver when you’re holding a baby on one hip and trying not to spill your coffee with the other.

In terms of size, it’s definitely compact but still comfortable for a little one. The stroller measures about 30 inches tall, 18.5 inches wide, and just under 39 inches long when fully opened. It fits easily through doorways, down store aisles, and even folds small enough to stash in a closet or behind a car seat. And speaking of travel, it’s also Disney park approved, which makes it a great option for theme park days or flying — yes, you can carry it right onto the plane without gate-checking.

Now let’s talk features. The 5-point harness is adjustable and feels secure, and while the seat doesn’t recline fully flat, it does have a slight tilt that’s comfy enough for a nap on the go. The canopy isn’t huge, but it’s decent for a lightweight stroller and does offer some sun protection. There’s also a small storage pocket underneath — I’m able to easily fit a medium diaper bag and a few essentials in it.

Let’s talk about the wheels — because for a stroller this lightweight, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it handles. The front wheels are 5 inches and the rear wheels are 6 inches, which makes it super easy to steer on smooth surfaces like sidewalks, store floors, and airport terminals. While it’s not meant for rugged terrain or gravel paths (definitely not an all-terrain stroller), it does have a built-in suspension system that helps absorb some of the bumps along the way. I was able to push it one-handed while juggling a coffee, and it turned corners like a champ. It’s not a jogging stroller by any means, but for daily errands and travel, the maneuverability really impressed me.

Overall, the Evenflo Hummingbird is a total win for parents who want something light, quick, and easy without spending a fortune. You can get the Evenflo Hummingbird Stroller here on Amazon.com.
