PEG PEREGO YPSI SEAT
The Peg Perego Ypsi is a full size stroller that is packed with features for both baby and parent. The stroller is recommended for 6 months up to 55 lbs. No worries if you’d like to use the Ypsi with a newborn because this travel system comes with the Nido Infant Car Seat that attaches to the stroller frame or you can purchase the bassinet (which is approved for overnight sleeping) that turns it into a pram. The roomy seat measures 13″ wide and has a 20″ seat back and a measurement from back of seat to top of canopy of 24″.
The seat is reversible so that your little rider can face parent or out at the world and sports a padded, adjustable, 5-point harness for safety, although the harness isn’t the most user-friendly to adjust. We love that the swing-away (and removable) baby bumper bar is covered with a faux leather instead of foam.
HANDLE BAR
The faux leather, telescoping handlebar is fantastic for both shorter and taller parents because it adjusts from 39″ to 43″ from ground to handle. There are also two little rubberized pieces built into the handle bar that keep the handle bar leather nice when it is in the standing fold. The stroller will set on those knobs and not scratch up the leather.
CANOPY
The canopy is absolutely huge – one of the biggest on the market – and folds all the way to the baby bumper bar! The two panel canopy features a 3rd panel that unzips to give your baby complete coverage even when fully reclined. There is a plastic peek-a-boo window on the back panel of the canopy that is great for keeping an eye on your little rider but we wish the window was mesh to allow air to circulate through the seat.
STROLLER BASKET
Oh, how we love big baskets at Baby Gizmo and the Ypsi doesn’t disappoint! It is easily accessible from the back and sides of the basket and can accommodate a very large diaper bag and/or a boatload of baby essentials. Plus, the fabric at the front of the basket pops out to give you just a little more basket real estate if need be.
WHEELS
The Ypsi rolls on 10″ rear and 6 1/2″ front no-flat wheels with rear wheel suspension. The one-step brake is flip-flop friendly and very easy to engage.
TRAVEL SYSTEM – NIDO INFANT CAR SEAT
The Ypsi Travel System comes with a matching Peg Perego Nido Infant Car Seat. The Nido recommended for babies from 4-35 lbs and up to 32 inches and is stocked with safety and comfort features for your baby. The infant seat is equipped with a five-point harness system, energy-absorbing EPS and EPP foams, adjustable side impact protection and one of the biggest canopies we’ve ever seen on a car seat. The base of the Nido features a built-in Anti-Rebound bar and a 10-position metal Load Leg that work together to offer optimal protection in the event of a collision.
FOLD/UNFOLD
This stroller has an easy, two-handed, two-step fold that ends in a compact package for a full-featured stroller. It has an automatic lock and at only 22 1/2 lbs, the folded stroller is easy to toss in the trunk.
